About this item

Consumes one stone and 7 FP to release a Fire sprite that bounces along the ground. Carry up to ten at once.

Fire damage scales most strongly with Arcane, with smaller equal Intelligence and Faith contributions. It is not a purely Faith-scaled Fire attack.

The sprite can pass through enemies, making a line of grounded targets useful. The bouncing path is less dependable against an airborne enemy or across awkward changes in elevation.

In-game description

A Rauh Burrow inhabited by a fire sprite.

Craftable item.

Uses FP to release a fire sprite that bounces along the ground. The sprite pierces through enemies, dealing fire damage.

Of all the sprites, the fire sprites are said to be the most boisterous in nature.

Where to find

Crafting after obtaining Antiquity Scholar's Cookbook [1]

Rauh Base

Starting Site of Grace: Temple Town Ruins

Before you go

  • Crafting Kit
  • Antiquity Scholar's Cookbook [1]
  • Ingredients per batch: 2 Rauh Burrow, 1 Ember of Messmer and 1 Beast Horn
  1. To enter the Realm of Shadow, defeat Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood, then touch the withered arm in Mohg's arena at Mohgwyn Palace.
  2. From Moorth Ruins grace in Scadu Altus, ride northeast to the small triangular pool. Look for the cave beside a statue of Marika and a Scadutree Fragment.
  3. Enter the cave and follow it past the perfumers to the glowing golden tree. Take the path to its right down into the swamp.
  4. Turn left through the route beneath the rock and continue until you emerge into Rauh Base. Activate Ancient Ruins Base grace ahead.
  5. Follow the valley southwest toward Temple Town Ruins. A bow golem and an axe golem guard the approach; fighting them is optional if you can pass their attacks.
  6. Collect the map beneath the stele near the ruined town. This is the lower valley, not the upper ruins reached through Shadow Keep.
  7. From Temple Town Ruins, head north along the lower valley. Search the cave openings in the eastern cliff wall, keeping to the valley rather than climbing toward the upper ruins.
  8. Find the cave with the pot-carrying Shadow Undead. Defeat that carrier and collect Antiquity Scholar's Cookbook [1]; it is the cookbook reward, not a pot that needs to be opened.
  9. Buy the Crafting Kit from Kale at the Church of Elleh if Item Crafting is still unavailable.
  10. Collect 2 Rauh Burrow, 1 Ember of Messmer and 1 Beast Horn. Outside combat, open Item Crafting and select Fire Spritestone. One batch makes 1.

Notes

  • Consumes one stone and 7 FP to release a Fire sprite that bounces along the ground. Carry up to ten at once.
  • Fire damage scales most strongly with Arcane, with smaller equal Intelligence and Faith contributions. It is not a purely Faith-scaled Fire attack.
  • The sprite can pass through enemies, making a line of grounded targets useful. The bouncing path is less dependable against an airborne enemy or across awkward changes in elevation.
  • Each contact gives 3 stance damage. Repeated contacts depend on the sprite's path, rather than every bounce automatically damaging the same enemy.
  • Fire bonuses help the damage. A seal's Incantation Scaling, Talisman of the Dread and Shard of Alexander do not apply simply because the effect looks fiery or magical.
  • Antiquity Scholar's Cookbook [1] unlocks one stone per two Rauh Burrows, one Ember of Messmer and one Beast Horn. Both ingredients and the finished stone are spent rather than returned after the sprite fades.
  • The cookbook comes from the pot-carrying Shadow Undead in a lower Rauh cave. The upper ruins' hidden Bondstone room gives a different cookbook.
  • Bondstone controls ordinary Spritestone sprites. This bouncing Fire version follows its own attack path rather than becoming the same delayed, manually triggered explosion.
