In-game description
Superior incantation of the Fire Monks.
Creates an invigorating fire within that enhances physical and fire-affinity attack power.
This incantation does not burn the caster, and so it is considered forbidden by the guardians of the Flame.
Where to find
Behind Fort Gael
Caelid
Starting Site of Grace: Fort Gael North
- Enter Caelid from northern Limgrave past Smoldering Church and Rotview Balcony. Head south past Forsaken Ruins toward the fort on the high ground, and activate Fort Gael North grace before approaching its soldiers.
- Ride south toward Fort Gael, using cover against the knight's greatbow. Follow the outside wall around to the back; you do not need to climb the entrance ladder.
- At the rear wall, find the two fire-breathing chariots. The spell is on the corpse between them, against the wall.
- Loot Flame, Grant Me Strength when there is a gap in the fire. You can collect it without killing the chariots, entering the fort or fighting its Lion Guardian.
Notes
- Requires 15 Faith and one memory slot. Cast with a sacred seal for 28 FP.
- Raises Physical and Fire damage by 20% against enemies, or 15% against other players, for 30 seconds. It also adds 5 stamina recovery per second.
- The damage bonus can improve weapons, skills and spells that deal those damage types. It does not raise Magic, Lightning or Holy damage just because an attack also has a Physical component.
- It is a body buff. Boiled Crab, the fortification spells, Howl of Shabriri and other body buffs replace it rather than stacking with it.
- Golden Vow is an aura buff and can be used alongside it. Compatible weapon buffs also work with it; the spell itself does not coat a weapon or add Fire damage to one that lacks it.
- The percentages and stamina recovery are fixed, so extra Faith and a higher Incantation Scaling do not strengthen the buff. It is useful even with only the required Faith.
- Old Lord's Talisman extends it to 39 seconds. With its short ordinary duration, cast it after longer-lasting preparations so less time is spent before the fight starts.
- Its name does not mean it raises the Strength attribute. It does not help meet a weapon's Strength requirement or add status buildup.
