Fire Monk incantations

In-game description

The most ancient of the Fire Monks' incantations.

Creates a fire within that greatly increases fire damage negation.

It is said that this incantation was used during the War against the Giants long ago, during which it protected the champions of the Erdtree.

Where to find

Sealed room at Giant-Conquering Hero's Grave entrance

Mountaintops of the Giants

Starting Site of Grace: Giant-Conquering Hero's Grave

Before you go

  • Bring one Stonesword Key.
  1. Reach the Mountaintops of the Giants using the Rold Medallion after Morgott. Giant-Conquering Hero's Grave sits on the higher western plateau, so its nearby map marker cannot be reached by riding straight up from Zamor Ruins.
  2. From Church of Repose, ride north to the lower cliffside route, then follow the valley west. Use the projecting rock to jump across the gap onto the tomb's plateau. Enter the large doors and ride the lift down to the grace.
  3. Beside the entrance grace, find the imp statue to the west and spend one Stonesword Key. Enter the room behind the seal and loot Flame, Protect Me from the corpse. The shadow-enemy rooms, troll and dungeon boss are not required.

Notes

  • Requires 24 Faith, a sacred seal and one memory slot. Costs 30 FP and lasts 70 seconds.
  • Reduces incoming Fire damage by 60% from enemies and 20% from other players. It protects against the Fire portion of an attack, without reducing its physical, Magic, Lightning or Holy portion.
  • A body buff. It cannot remain active alongside Flame, Grant Me Strength, Black Flame's Protection, Boiled Crab or another competing body protection effect. Applying one replaces the other rather than combining their benefits.
  • Can combine with Golden Vow's separate aura effect, armor and a Flamedrake Talisman. Their protections multiply; they do not add up to complete Fire immunity.
  • The protection is fixed. Raising Faith further or using a seal with higher Incantation Scaling does not make the 60% reduction stronger.
  • Old Lord's Talisman extends it to 91 seconds while equipped. It does not improve your own Fire damage or protect allies just because they are standing beside you.
  • The pickup is directly behind the entrance's one-key seal in Giant-Conquering Hero's Grave. You can collect it before defeating the dungeon boss or Fire Giant.
