In-game description

A crystal tear formed slowly over the ages where the Erdtree's bounty falls to the ground.

Can be mixed in the Flask of Wondrous Physick.

The resulting concoction temporarily boosts the power of one's fire attacks.

Where to find

Northwestern Minor Erdtree

Caelid

Starting Site of Grace: Smoldering Church

  1. Start at the Smoldering Church on the border between Limgrave and Caelid. Head east toward the nearby Minor Erdtree, then follow the ground down to its base.
  2. Defeat the Putrid Avatar beneath the tree. Watch for the Scarlet Rot left by its attacks and move away from the pools rather than standing in them.
  3. The reward includes both Greenburst Crystal Tear and Flame-Shrouding Cracked Tear. This is the western Caelid tree, not the stronger Avatar in Dragonbarrow.

Notes

  • Increases fire damage by 20% for three minutes. Against other players, the bonus is 12.5%.
  • The bonus follows the damage type, so it can help fire damage from weapons, skills and spells.
  • It does not raise the physical portion of an attack that deals both physical and fire damage.
  • Rest at a Site of Grace and choose Mix Wondrous Physick to use this tear. Drinking the flask uses its charge; resting refills it without consuming the tear.
  • It can be combined with Fire Scorpion Charm for a larger fire bonus, but that talisman also makes physical hits against you hurt more. This tear itself does not carry that talisman's defensive penalty.
