Before you go

• Academy Glintstone Key.
• 12,000 runes for the spell.

1. Collect the Academy Glintstone Key from the corpse behind the sleeping dragon on the island north of Temple Quarter, west of Raya Lucaria. You can grab it without defeating the dragon.
2. At South Raya Lucaria Gate, examine the blue seal to reach Main Academy Gate. Take the nearby lift up, climb past the two spellcasters and enter the church.
3. Watch for the marionettes dropping inside, then use the side doorway to activate Church of the Cuckoo grace. Continue out into the graveyard.
4. Follow the graveyard path down across the wooden bridge, then uphill on the far side. The crawling enemies try to grab you and drain FP. Pass through the torch-lit doorway at the far end to reach the waterwheel.
5. Step onto an ascending platform and ride upward. Jump off at the upper landing before the wheel carries you over, then climb the stairs into Schoolhouse Classroom and activate its grace.
6. Leave Schoolhouse Classroom up the short stairs and turn left into the study at the end of the corridor. Loot Conspectus Scroll from the corpse; the cookbook is in a separate chest.
7. Take the scroll to Miriel at the Church of Vows in eastern Liurnia. From Artist's Shack, follow the road north and take the uphill branch toward the ruined church, where the large turtle in a white mitre is waiting.
8. Give Miriel the scroll, then open his purchase menu. Sellen and Seluvis are alternative teachers while their shops remain available; handing over the scroll unlocks stock rather than giving you the spells for free.
9. Purchase Glintstone Cometshard for 12,000 runes. Rest at a grace and memorize it once you meet its Intelligence requirement.

Notes

• Needs 36 Intelligence and one memory slot. Each cast costs 17 FP, and a glintstone staff supplies the Sorcery Scaling used for its Magic damage.
• Can be charged for a stronger projectile, cast repeatedly and used while walking. The charged version takes longer to release, so use it when the enemy gives you room.
• The comet can pierce enemies. Aiming through the nearest enemy toward one behind it makes that property more useful than locking onto the front enemy at a steep angle.
• It has a lower Intelligence requirement and FP cost than Comet: 36 instead of 52 Intelligence, and 17 instead of 24 FP. A cheaper successful hit can be more useful than spending Comet's cost on every small enemy.
• Azur's Glintstone Crown increases its damage by 10% while increasing the FP cost of all sorceries by 15%. Godfrey Icon also benefits a fully charged cast.
• Conspectus Scroll unlocks the purchase; it does not teach this spell immediately. Buy it for 12,000 runes after giving the scroll to a teacher.
• If that teacher dies after receiving the scroll, their bell bearing can preserve the unlocked stock. The Twin Maiden Husks cannot receive a new scroll themselves.
