Before you go

• 600 runes for the spell.

1. From Lake-Facing Cliffs in southern Liurnia, go west into the nearby graveyard. Search the corpse among the graves for the Academy Scroll.
2. Take the scroll to Miriel at the Church of Vows in eastern Liurnia. From Artist's Shack, follow the road north and take the uphill branch toward the ruined church, where the large turtle in a white mitre is waiting.
3. Give Miriel the scroll, then open his purchase menu. Sellen and Seluvis are alternative teachers while their shops remain available; handing over the scroll unlocks stock rather than giving you the spells for free.
4. Give Miriel Academy Scroll and purchase Swift Glintstone Shard for 600 runes. You do not need to enter Raya Lucaria for this scroll.

Notes

• Needs 12 Intelligence, one memory slot and a glintstone staff. Each quick Magic projectile costs 5 FP.
• Its short casting action can follow another action without the long windup of a larger projectile. It can also be used during a jump, making it useful for keeping pressure while repositioning.
• The quick release and low cost suit brief openings and finishing an enemy with little HP. It gives up the larger hit of Great Glintstone Shard and the comet spells.
• It cannot be charged. Holding the input does not unlock a stronger version, and Godfrey Icon's charged-spell bonus does not apply.
• It uses the casting staff's Sorcery Scaling, rather than weapon attack power. Graven sorcery talismans apply; Shard of Alexander does not turn it into a stronger weapon skill.
• Buy it for 600 runes after giving Academy Scroll to Sellen, Miriel or Seluvis. A teacher's bell bearing can retain stock already unlocked, but cannot receive the scroll for the first time.
