About this item

Consumes a scrap and 4 FP to release Magic bolts without a staff or memory slot. Damage scales only with Intelligence.

The bolts use the item's own damage scaling, rather than the Sorcery Scaling of a staff you happen to be holding. Upgrading that staff does not upgrade the scrap.

Lock onto a target before using it. The projectiles still need a clear route and can hit cover or miss a moving enemy.

In-game description

Piece of glintstone tinged with unstable magic. Found in crystal tunnels.

Break gem, using FP to produce a magic bolt.

Poor quality and thereby easily broken, a sorcerer wouldn't give it a second look.

Where to find

Twin Maiden Husks after the Raya Lucaria mine bearing

Liurnia of the Lakes

Starting Site of Grace: Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel

Before you go

  • Defeat the mine's Crystalian.
  1. Stay at lake level on the northeastern side of Liurnia and find the mine entrance in the cliff near the Walking Mausoleum. Take the entrance lift down and activate the grace.
  2. In the first working area, the chest up the right-hand steps is optional. Take the other passage onward to the larger mining chamber and continue through to the room with a staircase in its middle.
  3. Use the next lift to descend. Cross the narrow beam at the bottom, clearing the miners that could knock you off before you step onto it.
  4. Follow the passage through the wooden enclosures guarded by Marionettes. The Crystal Knife chest is optional; the route continues past these rooms and down another staircase.
  5. You will reach a chamber with miners and spellcasters. Clear the casters so you can move safely, then use the final lift to reach the boss doors.
  6. Defeat the ringblade Crystalian to receive the bearing. A stance break cracks its initial protection, making the rest of the fight easier.
  7. Give the bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold and check their main shop for the unlocked stock.
  8. Buy Glintstone Scrap from the Twin Maiden Husks' unlocked main shop for 300 runes each. The stock is unlimited; the smithing stones are separate purchases.

Notes

  • Consumes a scrap and 4 FP to release Magic bolts without a staff or memory slot. Damage scales only with Intelligence.
  • The bolts use the item's own damage scaling, rather than the Sorcery Scaling of a staff you happen to be holding. Upgrading that staff does not upgrade the scrap.
  • Lock onto a target before using it. The projectiles still need a clear route and can hit cover or miss a moving enemy.
  • Large Glintstone Scrap releases more projectiles but costs 10 FP instead of four. A larger full burst only helps if enough bolts connect.
  • Smithing-Stone Miner's Bell Bearing (1) unlocks unlimited scraps at the Twin Maiden Husks for 300 runes each. This is a repeatable purchase, while each used scrap is consumed.
  • It does not unlock a new sorcery or require the spell's normal casting equipment. Intelligence improves damage, rather than turning it into a reusable catalyst.
