Greatbow ammunition with 40 Physical and 110 Holy attack power. Ordinary bows and crossbows cannot use it.

A normal shot creates a brief buffing area where it lands. You and nearby allies need to be near that impact, rather than simply near the archer when a distant arrow is fired.

The current effect lasts 45 seconds and increases damage dealt by 11.5% while reducing damage taken by 7.5% against enemies. Against players, the bonuses are 2.5% damage and 1.5% damage reduction.

Before you go

  • Have 500 runes per item.
  • Visit during the day.
  1. At Outer Wall Battleground in the Capital Outskirts, head east, then turn northwest up the rising path to the cliff above the battlefield.
  2. Follow the upper ground to Hermit Merchant's Shack and activate its grace. Visit during daylight; a Bell Bearing Hunter can appear here at night and is not required for a purchase.
  3. Buy Golden Great Arrows for 500 runes each. These fit a greatbow, rather than an ordinary bow or crossbow.

  • The current effect lasts 45 seconds and increases damage dealt by 11.5% while reducing damage taken by 7.5% against enemies. Against players, the bonuses are 2.5% damage and 1.5% damage reduction.
  • This is an aura buff and shares its slot with Golden Vow. It does not add another full aura on top of Golden Vow; a nearby impact can replace an existing aura. Body buffs and compatible weapon buffs use different slots.
  • The normal impact and Through and Through create the buff area. Do not assume the falling arrows from every rain-style greatbow skill also give the same buff.
  • Erdtree Greatbow combines the arrow's Holy damage with its own and uses Faith for that Holy portion. The target's Holy defense still matters, and the arrow is usable with other greatbows.
  • The Hermit Merchant sells unlimited stock for 500 runes each. Carry up to 30 of this type; a full stack costs 15,000 runes.
