Erdtree incantations

In-game description

An incantation of Erdtree Worship.

Increases attack power and defense for the caster and nearby allies.

Hold to continue praying and delay activation.

This incantation has been taught to knights of the royal capital for generations, and knights sent on distant expeditions lean on it as a source of courage.

Where to find

Corpse-Stench Shack

Mt. Gelmir

Starting Site of Grace: Bridge of Iniquity

  1. Reach Altus Plateau with both Dectus Medallion halves, from Fort Haight and Fort Faroth, or by climbing Ruin-Strewn Precipice and defeating Magma Wyrm Makar.
  2. Follow the road north from Altus Highway Junction, past the map monument, to Forest-Spanning Greatbridge grace. Use the waygate beside the grace to cross to the northern end of the broken bridge.
  3. From the northern end of Forest-Spanning Greatbridge, follow the road west toward the wooden bridge into Mt. Gelmir. Cross and activate Bridge of Iniquity.
  4. Follow the ground-level road northwest toward the broken bridge. Stay on that road rather than climbing the ladders leading farther up the mountain.
  5. Find Corpse-Stench Shack beside the road and loot the body inside for Golden Vow. Anastasia can invade here, so be ready to fight or collect the pickup while avoiding her.
  6. The corpse contains the incantation. Anastasia's invasion reward and the Golden Vow Ash of War in Limgrave are separate pickups.

Notes

  • For 80 seconds, increases damage dealt by 15% against enemies or 7.5% against players. It also reduces incoming damage by 10% against enemies or 5% against players.
  • Covers physical and elemental damage, rather than only the physical part of a weapon. The reduction multiplies with armor and other compatible protection.
  • This is an aura buff. It does not stack with the Golden Vow weapon skill, the crafted Golden Vow item, Uplifting Aromatic's attack buff or another competing aura.
  • A body buff such as Boiled Crab or Flame, Grant Me Strength can work alongside it. A compatible weapon enchantment occupies another separate slot.
  • Cast near your allies or already-summoned Spirit Ashes to include them. It does not automatically buff a summon brought out after the prayer.
  • Its percentages are fixed. More Faith, a stronger seal or a bonus to a particular incantation school does not make Golden Vow stronger. It does not increase healing or the fixed damage of an already-triggered status effect.
  • Holding the prayer delays activation; it is not a stronger charged cast and does not gain a Godfrey Icon bonus. Old Lord's Talisman extends the duration to 104 seconds.
  • Requires 25 Faith, one memory slot and a sacred seal. Costs 47 FP. This incantation is stronger and lasts longer than the weapon-skill version, but has its own casting requirements.
