About this item

Against enemies, increases damage dealt by 12.7% and reduces incoming damage by 8.8%. Against other players, those benefits are 5% and 3.3%.

This shares the aura slot with the Golden Vow incantation, Golden Vow skill and other competing aura buffs. Applying one replaces the other rather than adding a second version of the same attack and defense bonus.

The incantation serves as a rite that honors the comrades who placed their faith in the distant Erdtree and gave their lives in the crusade.

Ingredients per batch: 1 Blessed Bone Shard and 2 Shadow Sunflower

Obtain Battlefield Priest's Cookbook [3] to unlock the recipe.
Follow the main road north from Highroad Cross toward Shadow Keep.
Before the main gate, move into the army camp southwest of the entrance. Avoid drawing the nearby Furnace Golem into the tents.
Search the tents along the camp's northern edge.
Loot the corpse inside the tent for the book. Entering the keep and fighting the Golden Hippopotamus are not required.
Buy the Crafting Kit from Kale at the Church of Elleh if Item Crafting is still unavailable.
Collect 1 Blessed Bone Shard and 2 Shadow Sunflower. Outside combat, open Item Crafting and select Golden Vow. One batch makes 1.

A compatible body buff or weapon enchantment can work alongside the aura. The damage reduction multiplies with other protection rather than simply adding percentage points to the armor display.
Gather allies close before using it. The item is still spent if nobody else is within reach, and it does not automatically affect a summon you bring out later.
This is the crafted tool, not the incantation you memorize or the Ash of War you put on a weapon. Old Lord's Talisman does not extend this consumable's duration.
Craft one with one Blessed Bone Shard and two Shadow Sunflowers after obtaining Battlefield Priest's Cookbook [3]. It does not need a pot or Perfume Bottle, and you can carry ten prepared copies.
