Creates a red-lightning glaive and sweeps the area from above. This attack unleashes trails of lightning.

Lansseax was the sister of Fortissax. It is said that she took the form of a human to commune with the knights as a priestess of the ancient dragon cult.

Starting Site of Grace: Rampartside Path

1. Reach Altus Plateau using both Dectus Medallion halves at Grand Lift of Dectus, or climb Ruin-Strewn Precipice and defeat Magma Wyrm Makar. Lansseax's first appearance near Abandoned Coffin is not the final reward encounter.
2. On the high ground west of Leyndell's outer wall, activate Rampartside Path grace. Head south toward the open hill near Stormcaller Church, east of Sainted Hero's Grave. The lightning and open space mark the dragon's later arena.
3. Approach the hill to trigger Ancient Dragon Lansseax, then defeat her for Lansseax's Glaive. If she retreated during the Abandoned Coffin encounter, look here instead of repeatedly resting at her first location.
4. This is a direct dragon reward. Searching inside Sainted Hero's Grave, killing its doorway assassin or fighting the sheep by Stormcaller Church does not award the incantation.

Notes

• Requires 40 Faith, one memory slot and a sacred seal. Casting costs 22 FP.
• Sweeps a large red-lightning glaive across the area in front of you, then sends lightning along the ground. The broad swing is useful against a group standing across your approach.
• Get close enough for the glaive itself when it is safe. Standing far away and relying on an outer trail gives up the stronger close contact, and an enemy behind you may escape the main sweep.
• The sweeping motion is slower and more exposed than a quick thrown Lightning Spear. It can resist some interruption, but the raised position does not protect you from every attack beneath or beside you.
• The spectral weapon deals lightning damage rather than ordinary physical slashing damage. Raising Strength or Dexterity beyond your seal's actual scaling does not improve it just because it looks like a glaive.
• Lansseax awards it at her later Altus location. It is not purchased at a Dragon Communion altar with a Dragon Heart, and no prayerbook is involved.
• Damage follows the casting seal's Incantation Scaling. A Faith seal improves through Faith; a hybrid seal can use its other scaling attributes too, while the spell's Faith requirement still has to be met.
• Gravel Stone Seal boosts this Dragon Cult incantation by 15% while held in an active hand, even if a different seal casts it. Two active copies multiply to 32.25%. Death Knight armor adds its separate 2% bonus per piece.
• Lightning damage bonuses apply, but physical- or fire-only bonuses do not. Dragon Communion Seal's school bonus does not apply simply because an ancient dragon is named in the incantation.
• This spell cannot be charged, so Godfrey Icon does not strengthen it. Repeating a cast or having several hits is different from charging.
