Heals all negative statuses, dispels special effects, and reveals mimicry in all its forms.

The fundamentalists describe the Golden Order through the powers of regression and causality. Regression is the pull of meaning; that all things yearn eternally to converge.

Starting Site of Grace: Erdtree Sanctuary

Before you go

• Reach Erdtree Sanctuary before Leyndell becomes the Ashen Capital.

1. Defeat Godfrey's golden shade in Leyndell and activate Erdtree Sanctuary grace in his arena.
2. Go outside and climb the large tree root that leads to the sanctuary's upper balcony, on the route toward Queen's Bedchamber.
3. Immediately after stepping through the upper doorway, turn left and drop onto the sanctuary roof instead of continuing toward the bedchamber.
4. Go through the open window back into the building. Follow the branch inside toward the chair hanging above the main hall.
5. Loot the corpse seated in that chair for Golden Order Principia. Watch your footing on the branch rather than dropping straight onto the arena floor.
6. Travel to the Church of Vows on eastern Liurnia's raised ground. From the Artist's Shack, follow the road north and take the uphill branch to the ruined church.
7. Give Golden Order Principia to Miriel, the large turtle inside, then buy Law of Regression for 10,000 runes. The book unlocks his stock rather than giving you the spell for free.
8. Corhyn can teach it instead if you give him the book. If your chosen teacher later dies, hand the teacher's bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks to recover already-unlocked stock. An unused book cannot be handed to the Husks.

Notes

• Removes removable buffs, debuffs and status effects from you and nearby targets. This includes allies and enemies, so using it can undo your own preparation and help an opponent at the same time.
• Requires 37 Intelligence and one memory slot, costs 55 FP and is cast with a sacred seal. Despite being an incantation, the spell itself has no Faith requirement.
• Its cleansing does not scale with Incant Scaling or extra Intelligence. It removes effects rather than restoring HP or reversing damage from a status burst that already happened.
• Use a more selective cure when you want to keep beneficial effects. Flame, Cleanse Me treats poison and Scarlet Rot without stripping your prepared buffs.
• It can reveal disguises and illusions. Its important quest use is the Radagon statue below Erdtree Sanctuary, where it reveals the secret needed to continue Goldmask's investigation.
• From Erdtree Sanctuary, take the western stairs and the small lift down. Follow the steps to Radagon's statue, stand at the fixed message in front of it and cast toward the statue. Read the new message, then report the discovery to Goldmask near the colosseum.
• For Goldmask's quest, finish the statue investigation, report the secret and complete the Mountaintops conversations before burning the Erdtree at the Forge of the Giants. Maliketh later removes the statue route entirely when the capital changes. Casting elsewhere or merely buying the spell does not complete the quest step.
• Temporary Intelligence bonuses can help meet the requirement for the quest cast. Make sure you also have enough FP to finish it; the attribute requirement alone is not enough.
• Buy it for 10,000 runes after handing over Golden Order Principia. It does not automatically grant Goldmask's ending or the later Mending Rune.
