The bonus applies to the lightning damage an attack actually deals, including compatible weapon attacks, skills and spells.

A split-damage attack keeps its other damage portions separate. This tear does not raise every part of that attack.

In-game description

A crystal tear formed slowly over the ages where the Erdtree's bounty falls to the ground.

Can be mixed in the Flask of Wondrous Physick.

The resulting concoction temporarily boosts the power of one's lightning attacks.

Starting Site of Grace: Mausoleum Compound

  1. Begin at the Mausoleum Compound in northeastern Liurnia, in the area with the walking stone mausoleums.
  2. Head east toward the Minor Erdtree on the raised ground. The Erdtree Avatar is waiting at its base.
  3. Defeat the Avatar to receive the Magic-Shrouding, Lightning-Shrouding and Holy-Shrouding Cracked Tears together. There is no need to enter a mausoleum for these rewards.

Notes

  • Increases lightning damage by 20% for three minutes. Against other players, the bonus is 12.5%.
  • The bonus applies to the lightning damage an attack actually deals, including compatible weapon attacks, skills and spells.
  • A split-damage attack keeps its other damage portions separate. This tear does not raise every part of that attack.
  • Rest at a Site of Grace and choose Mix Wondrous Physick to use this tear. Drinking the flask uses its charge; resting refills it without consuming the tear.
  • It strengthens lightning from incantations as well as from weapons. Choosing this tear does not mean every lightning attack scales with Dexterity; the weapon or casting tool still determines its attributes.
