In-game description
Katana forged from meteoric ore to dispatch lifeforms born of falling stars.
Deals magic damage.
The blade is weighty, known to deliver slashes of such ferocity that the impact is said to resemble the crash of a falling meteor.
Skill
Skill originating from the Alabaster Lords, who had skin of stone. Thrust the armament into the ground to create a gravity well. In addition to dealing damage, this attack pulls enemies in.Ash of War: Gravitas
Where to find
Caelid
Starting Site of Grace: Caelid Highway South
- Follow the highway from northeastern Limgrave into Caelid, then continue south and west around the Swamp of Aeonia toward Caelid Highway South. Find Caelid Waypoint Ruins on the raised ground west of the road.
- Search the northwestern part of the ruins for the cellar stairs. Descend into the dark room, keeping clear of the Pests and their ranged attacks.
- Reach the door in the far corner, open it and loot the chest for Meteoric Ore Blade. No boss or Stonesword Key is required.
Notes
- Requires 15 Strength, 14 Dexterity and 18 Intelligence, and weighs 7.5. Strength provides the strongest Physical scaling, Dexterity is weaker, and Intelligence improves its Magic damage.
- Its ordinary hits apply 50 Blood Loss buildup. The weapon has no Arcane scaling, so raising Arcane does not increase that fixed bleed amount.
- The heavy and charged heavy attacks are straight downward cuts instead of the usual katana heavy moveset. Their appearance does not give them extra stance damage beyond the corresponding ordinary katana heavy attacks.
- Gravitas costs 13 FP and is fixed on this weapon. The sword plunge uses its weapon attack power, followed by a Magic gravity field whose independent damage improves through Intelligence and weapon upgrades.
- The sword contact can apply the weapon's bleed, while the surrounding gravity field does not turn into a bleed cloud. Use the pull to bring lighter enemies into range of a following sword attack.
- Shard of Alexander improves the skill and Spellblade armor improves its Magic portion. Godfrey Icon does not boost this uncharged skill; Axe Talisman is for the actual charged heavy attacks.
- Deals 20% extra damage against eligible gravity enemies. This is an enemy-specific bonus in addition to its normal Physical and Magic damage.
- Uses Somber Smithing Stones to +10. Its skill and affinity cannot be changed, and grease or weapon enchantments cannot be applied.
- It is a chest pickup below Caelid Waypoint Ruins. The Pests are hazards on the approach, not enemies you must farm for a random sword drop.
