Starting Site of Grace: Queen's Bedchamber
Before you go
- Defeat Morgott, the Omen King.
- Enter Leyndell, Royal Capital after meeting its Great Rune requirements. Reach Avenue Balcony grace on the lower landing off the main street.
- Go northwest down the stairs and through the gate. Use the buildings for cover from the lightning knight with the bow, then continue toward the enormous dead dragon.
- Climb the dragon's wing where it meets the ground. Follow its rising left side, then the broken stone structure into the building. Climb the ladder and stairs, watching for the knight and foot soldier above.
- Cross the covered passage to West Capital Rampart grace. Continue toward the large root climbing to the sanctuary. The gargoyle near the small golden tree is optional for this route.
- Follow the root upward to the sanctuary and defeat Godfrey's golden shade. This is the capital encounter, before the later fight against Godfrey himself.
- From Erdtree Sanctuary, use the eastern balcony and climbing branch to reach the upper level. Follow the onward passage and curving approach past the Black Knife Assassin to Queen's Bedchamber grace.
- Climb the stairs toward the Erdtree and defeat Morgott, the Omen King. You receive Remembrance of the Omen King directly.
- Return to Roundtable Hold and speak to Finger Reader Enia in the Two Fingers chamber. Choose the remembrance exchange and select Morgott's Cursed Sword. Keep or duplicate the remembrance first if you also want Regal Omen Bairn.
Notes
- Requires 14 Strength, 35 Dexterity and 17 Arcane, and weighs 7.5. Ordinary attacks deal Physical damage, with Dexterity providing the strongest scaling, Arcane a smaller contribution and Strength the weakest.
- Starts with 60 Blood Loss buildup, which improves with Arcane and reinforcement. Its Arcane requirement is useful for its bleed and skill even though the ordinary blade does not have a Fire damage entry.
- Has a critical rating of 110. This helps backstabs and ripostes; it is not a 10% bonus to every ordinary swing.
- Cursed-Blood Slice costs 20 FP for the advancing slash and another 20 FP for its follow-up. Each cut leaves a trail that erupts shortly afterward, so the blade and delayed Fire can connect separately.
- The blade contacts use the weapon's attack power. The separate Fire effects improve through Arcane and upgrades, rather than Faith. Raising Dexterity strengthens the ordinary cuts without improving that independent Fire scaling in the same way.
- Both the cuts and their delayed effects contribute bleed, but use different status amounts. Staying close enough for the blade matters, and a moving target can escape the delayed eruption.
- Shard of Alexander improves the skill. Fire bonuses improve its Fire portions, and a nearby bleed can activate White Mask or Lord of Blood's Exultation. Godfrey Icon does not improve the uncharged sequence.
- The advancing attacks cover ground well, but neither follow-up guarantees a safe opening against an enemy that cannot be staggered. Stop after the first cut when the target is already preparing to retaliate.
- Uses Somber Smithing Stones to +10. Its skill and affinity are fixed, and grease or weapon enchantments cannot be applied.
- Enia exchanges Remembrance of the Omen King for this sword without an extra rune payment. Regal Omen Bairn is the alternative reward. A compatible remembrance duplication lets you choose both during the same journey.
- Morgott in Leyndell awards this remembrance. Defeating Margit at Stormveil does not unlock the exchange.
