In-game description

This curved greatsword wielded by the brawny sellswords of Kaiden combines the blade of a scimitar with the heft of a hatchet.

A difficult to handle weapon that demands much of the wielder's strength and dexterity, but with practice and ability, it can serve as a versatile weapon even on horseback.

Starting Site of Grace: Warmaster's Shack

  1. From Warmaster's Shack, follow the road west toward Stormhill Shack. Look for the Kaiden Sellswords with long hair, fur clothing and large curved swords.
  2. Defeat those swordsmen and check their drops. Dismounter is a random drop. Rest at either nearby shack grace and repeat the road until you get one.

Starting Site of Grace: Agheel Lake North

  1. From Agheel Lake North, ride northeast to the camp with tents, mounted Kaiden warriors and wolves. Armorer's Cookbook [1] is a separate fixed pickup among these tents.
  2. Fight the Kaiden Sellswords carrying the large curved blades. There are mounted and on-foot carriers here; draw them away from the group so the riders and wolves do not surround you.
  3. Collect their drops, rest at Agheel Lake North and repeat. Their armor and Dismounter are separate random rewards.

Notes

  • With Standard affinity, physical damage scales most strongly with Strength, with weaker Dexterity scaling.
  • Upgrade it with Smithing Stones. Its maximum upgrade is +25.
  • Can use compatible Ashes of War. Your choice of skill and the whetblades you've found determine which affinities you can apply.
  • Grease or a weapon enchantment can be applied while using an affinity that allows weapon buffs.
  • Requires 19 Strength and 16 Dexterity and weighs 10. Strength is its stronger Standard scaling attribute, although the blade still benefits from Dexterity.
  • Its long reach helps catch enemies beyond the range of a light curved sword. It is a curved greatsword, so its paired attacks require another weapon of that class.
  • Starts with Spinning Slash, costing 6 FP for the opening attack and another 12 FP for the follow-up. It uses the heavier curved-greatsword version of the skill.
  • Its ordinary heavy attacks use the conventional curved-greatsword pattern. Omen Cleaver's short overhead two-handed heavies are a different moveset.
  • There is no innate bleed, Frostbite or elemental damage. A Kaiden rider's attacks and appearance do not give the dropped sword an extra passive effect.
  • The base drop chance is 4% at 100 Item Discovery from Kaiden Sellswords. Mounted and dismounted carriers can provide the weapon, so farming is not restricted to horsemen.
