In-game description
Heavy-bladed curved sword of colossal size awarded to Omen as a tool of war. This weapon is made to take advantage of brute strength.
The pattern etched upon the blade is the remnant of a deteriorative malediction. Indeed, when bestowing a weapon, preparations must be made for taking it away.

Starting Site of Grace: Liftside Chamber
Before you go
- Reach the inner courtyard of Stormveil Castle.
- Leave Liftside Chamber through the doorway into the courtyard. Look for the large Omen sitting near a dog, just outside the room.
- Defeat this cleaver-wielding Omen and check its drop. Rest at Liftside Chamber and repeat if needed. Killing it once does not guarantee the weapon.
Notes
- With Standard affinity, physical damage scales most strongly with Strength, with weaker Dexterity scaling.
- Upgrade it with Smithing Stones. Its maximum upgrade is +25.
- Can use compatible Ashes of War. Your choice of skill and the whetblades you've found determine which affinities you can apply.
- Grease or a weapon enchantment can be applied while using an affinity that allows weapon buffs.
- Requires 19 Strength and 16 Dexterity and weighs 11.5. It has slightly stronger Strength than Dexterity scaling on Standard and can use Heavy for a Strength-focused setup.
- Two-handing changes its heavy, charged-heavy and jumping-heavy attacks into overhead chops with a hand near each end of the blade. These attacks bring the weapon down close in front of you rather than making Dismounter's wider conventional sweep.
- The overhead attacks are useful at close range, but the short forward coverage can miss an enemy that has stepped back. The light attacks still use the normal curved-greatsword pattern.
- Starts with Spinning Slash: 6 FP for the opening spin and another 12 FP for the follow-up. Replacing the skill does not remove its distinctive ordinary heavy attacks.
- It has no innate Blood Loss or curse effect. Its higher base Physical attack than Dismounter does not mean that every affinity, attack and attribute spread gives the same advantage.
- Sword-carrying Omens have a 4% base drop chance at 100 Item Discovery. The sitting Stormveil Omen is a repeatable enemy, with the nearby dog as a separate hazard.
