About this item
Raises damage negation against every damage type for three minutes, reducing incoming damage by 15% in PvE or 10% against other players.
The protection lasts through repeated hits. It does not disappear after one hit like Opaline Bubbletear.
Damage negation is separate from status resistance. Poison, Scarlet Rot and other buildup still need their own answer.

In-game description
A crystal tear formed slowly over the ages where the Erdtree's bounty falls to the ground.
Can be mixed in the Flask of Wondrous Physick.
The resulting concoction temporarily boosts all forms of damage negation.
Where to find
Minor Erdtree north of Fort Faroth
Greyoll's Dragonbarrow
Starting Site of Grace: Dragonbarrow Fork
- Start at Dragonbarrow Fork in northern Caelid and head uphill toward the Minor Erdtree east of the grace. Fort Faroth lies south of this tree.
- Fight the Putrid Avatar at the trunk. Its attacks can leave Scarlet Rot on the ground, so keep space to move out of those patches.
- Defeating it awards both Opaline Hardtear and Stonebarb Cracked Tear. The Avatar beside the Smoldering Church drops a different pair.
Notes
- Raises damage negation against every damage type for three minutes, reducing incoming damage by 15% in PvE or 10% against other players.
- The protection lasts through repeated hits. It does not disappear after one hit like Opaline Bubbletear.
- Damage negation is separate from status resistance. Poison, Scarlet Rot and other buildup still need their own answer.
- Rest at a Site of Grace and choose Mix Wondrous Physick to use this tear. Drinking the flask uses its charge; resting refills it without consuming the tear.
- The protection combines multiplicatively with other compatible damage-negation effects. For example, a separate 20% physical reduction and this tear's 15% PvE reduction leave 68% of the original physical damage, rather than adding up to a flat 35% reduction.
