In-game description

One of the incantations of the Golden Order fundamentalists.

Used by hunters of Those Who Live in Death.

Enchants armament held in the right hand with holy-affinity attacks. This incantation is especially damaging to Those Who Live in Death. Any felled by this incantation cannot be revived.

The role of the hunters is to stamp out defiled reason—all for the perfection of the Golden Order.

Where to find

D's incantation shop

Roundtable Hold

Starting Site of Grace: Table of Lost Grace

Before you go

  • Have 3,000 runes.
  • Give Gurranq the first Deathroot and return to D's shop, or offer D's bell bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks if he has died.
  1. Follow the road northeast through Limgrave to Summonwater Village. Defeat its Tibia Mariner and collect the Deathroot reward.
  2. Speak to D about Deathroot. He points you toward Gurranq and marks a sending gate near the Third Church of Marika.
  3. Go to the Third Church of Marika in eastern Limgrave and search the bushes north of the church for that sending gate. Use it to reach Bestial Sanctum in Dragonbarrow.
  4. Enter the large doors and speak to Gurranq. Give him the first Deathroot, then return to Roundtable Hold and speak to D in his gold-and-silver armor.
  5. Open D's incantation shop and buy Order's Blade for 3,000 runes. If he is already dead, collect his bell bearing and give it to the Twin Maiden Husks to access the shop.

Notes

  • Adds Holy attack power to a compatible right-hand weapon for 90 seconds. The added amount is 75% of the Faith-based part of your seal's Incant Scaling.
  • The added elemental attack power uses only the Faith contribution to your seal's Incant Scaling. Strength from Clawmark Seal, Intelligence from Golden Order Seal and Arcane from Dragon Communion Seal do not strengthen this enchantment.
  • Although the spell requires Intelligence as well as Faith, Intelligence does not strengthen this weapon enchantment. A hybrid seal's displayed total can therefore overstate the scaling used for this buff.
  • Also doubles weapon damage against the undead enemy classification it targets and prevents slain Those Who Live in Death from reviving. This is not double damage against every enemy weak to Holy.
  • The revival prevention comes from the enchantment's special effect. Ordinary Holy damage or Holy Grease does not automatically provide the same behavior.
  • Hold a sacred seal in your left hand and the weapon in your right. Grease or weapon enchantments can be applied while using an affinity that allows weapon buffs, usually Standard, Heavy, Keen or Quality. Some unique weapons have their own exceptions.
  • Shares the weapon-buff slot with grease and other weapon enchantments. Applying another coating replaces this one; switching to an incompatible weapon does not transfer it onto that weapon.
  • Old Lord's Talisman extends the duration to 117 seconds. The buff does not grant you Death Blight immunity.
  • Requires 13 Intelligence, 13 Faith, one memory slot and a sacred seal. Costs 22 FP. D sells it for 3,000 runes; his bell bearing can preserve his shop after his quest ends.
