Transforms caster into the Dragonlord to spew golden breath from above.

This incantation can be cast while jumping.

These are the dying wails of the Dragonlord who once dwelled eternally beyond time.

Before you go

  • Reach Crumbling Farum Azula and defeat Dragonlord Placidusax.
  1. From Beside the Great Bridge, take the lift down and go back through the Beastmen's church. Leave through the far opening and walk toward the cliff outside.
  2. Look down slightly to the left for the floating rocks below. Drop onto the first rock, then work down the remaining rocks to the wide ruined platform beneath them.
  3. Find the empty grave-shaped recess without bones on the platform. Stand in it and choose Lie down to enter Dragonlord Placidusax's arena.
  4. Defeat Placidusax to receive Remembrance of the Dragonlord. Return to Enia beside the Two Fingers at Roundtable Hold and exchange the remembrance for Placidusax's Ruin.

Notes

  • Requires 36 Faith, three memory slots and a sacred seal. Costs 62 FP and 75 stamina, making it a substantial commitment from both bars.
  • The quick opening burst deals Lightning damage around you. The following sweeping beams deal Fire damage, despite their golden color.
  • Damage follows the casting seal’s Incantation Scaling. Lightning bonuses improve the opening, while Fire bonuses improve the beams; neither elemental bonus strengthens the whole spell.
  • This belongs to neither Dragon Cult nor Dragon Communion. Gravel Stone Seal and Dragon Communion Seal do not give their school bonuses to it, although either can still cast it using its own Incantation Scaling.
  • Roar Medallion improves the eligible breath beams. General incantation damage bonuses can help, while Godfrey Icon does not apply because the spell cannot be charged.
  • Can be started during a jump. That does not make the long beam sequence invulnerable or let you freely dodge once committed.
  • The opening can knock back lighter enemies, but a boss may continue attacking. Choose an opening long enough for the beams rather than relying on the initial burst as protection.
  • The beams sweep across an area instead of concentrating every contact on one spot. Adjust your facing for the target and avoid narrow terrain that obstructs the attack.
  • Placidusax is optional. Lying down in the empty grave reaches his arena; the encounter is separate from defeating Maliketh.
  • Exchange Remembrance of the Dragonlord with Enia. Dragon King’s Cragblade is the other choice, and one exchange does not award both.
