Before you go
- Obtain Prophet Robe.
- Obtain the Tailoring Tools.
- Reach Altus Plateau using the Grand Lift of Dectus or the Ruin-Strewn Precipice. Enter the Capital Outskirts inside Leyndell's outer wall; entering the capital itself is not required.
- From Outer Wall Battleground grace, follow the road east toward the rising ground. Before continuing toward the giant golems, turn northwest onto the uphill path through the graves.
- Follow that path to Hermit Merchant's Shack near the outer wall. Activate its grace and speak to the merchant inside during daylight.
- A Bell Bearing Hunter can replace the merchant at night. If the shop is empty, pass time until morning and reload the area instead of looking for another entrance to the shack.
- Buy Prophet Robe for 1,500 runes.
- Reach Coastal Cave on the beach below western Limgrave. Defeat the two Demi-Human Chiefs to obtain the Tailoring Tools and Sewing Needle.
- Rest at a grace, choose Alter garments and change Prophet Robe into Prophet Robe (Altered).

Before you go
- Choose Prophet as the starting class.
- Obtain the Tailoring Tools.
- Begin as Prophet with Prophet Robe.
- Reach Coastal Cave on the beach below western Limgrave. Defeat the two Demi-Human Chiefs to obtain the Tailoring Tools and Sewing Needle.
- Rest at a grace, choose Alter garments and change the starting piece into Prophet Robe (Altered). You do not need to reach the merchant for this route.
