In-game description
One of the incantations of the Golden Order fundamentalists.
A gift of gratitude to the young Miquella from his father, Radagon.
Produces a golden ring of light and fires it across a wide area.
Charging enhances range.
And yet, the young Miquella abandoned fundamentalism, for it could do nothing to treat Malenia's accursed rot. This was the beginning of unalloyed gold.
Where to find
Rafters above Erdtree Sanctuary, then Church of Vows
Leyndell, Royal Capital
Starting Site of Grace: Erdtree Sanctuary
Before you go
- Reach Erdtree Sanctuary before Leyndell becomes the Ashen Capital.
- Defeat Godfrey's golden shade in Leyndell and activate Erdtree Sanctuary grace in his arena.
- Go outside and climb the large tree root that leads to the sanctuary's upper balcony, on the route toward Queen's Bedchamber.
- Immediately after stepping through the upper doorway, turn left and drop onto the sanctuary roof instead of continuing toward the bedchamber.
- Go through the open window back into the building. Follow the branch inside toward the chair hanging above the main hall.
- Loot the corpse seated in that chair for Golden Order Principia. Watch your footing on the branch rather than dropping straight onto the arena floor.
- Travel to the Church of Vows on eastern Liurnia's raised ground. From the Artist's Shack, follow the road north and take the uphill branch to the ruined church.
- Give Golden Order Principia to Miriel, the large turtle inside, then buy Radagon's Rings of Light for 7,500 runes. Giving him the book unlocks the spell in his shop.
- Corhyn can teach it instead if you give him the book. If your chosen teacher later dies, hand the teacher's bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks to recover already-unlocked stock. An unused book cannot be handed to the Husks.
Notes
- Requires 31 Intelligence and 31 Faith, uses one memory slot and costs 21 FP. A golden ring expands outward around the caster, covering enemies on every side.
- Unlike Discus of Light and Triple Rings of Light, this is an expanding circular attack rather than an outgoing ring that returns for another pass.
- Charging increases its reach and raises attack power from 310% to 395% of Incantation Scaling before bonuses and defenses. It still costs 21 FP, while stamina rises from 37 to 48.
- An enemy is hit once by the expanding ring, even when it is large enough to overlap several parts of the effect. It is not a multi-hit attack simply because the visual ring touches a broad target.
- Damage uses the casting seal's Incantation Scaling. Meeting an Intelligence requirement does not add Intelligence scaling to a Faith-only seal; Golden Order Seal scales with both Intelligence and Faith.
- Golden Order Seal boosts it by 10%, Dryleaf Seal by 15%, and Radiant Gold Mask by 10%. You can cast with a stronger seal while holding a bonus seal in the other active hand. The two different seal bonuses stack to 26.5%.
- Godfrey Icon boosts the fully charged cast. It does not improve an early release. Flock's Canvas Talisman and Holy damage bonuses work on either version.
- The circular reach is useful when surrounded, but charging takes time. Release early if an enemy will reach you before the longer cast finishes.
- Buy it for 7,500 runes after giving Golden Order Principia to Miriel or Corhyn. Collect the book before Maliketh changes Leyndell into the Ashen Capital.
- If the teacher dies after receiving the book, the teacher's bearing preserves the unlocked spell stock. The Twin Maiden Husks cannot learn from an unused prayerbook if both possible teachers are already dead.
