About this set

The four pieces weigh 30.5 and provide 58 poise. Wearing all four gives about 8.2% more attack damage and about 8.2% more incoming damage before accounting for the outfit's protection.

Each piece increases physical and elemental attack damage by 2% in both PvE and PvP. It works with ordinary weapon attacks, damaging skills and damaging spells, rather than only with the matching great katana.

Each piece also adds a 2% incoming-damage multiplier. The equipped character's Damage Negation display accounts for that penalty, so do not apply another hidden 2% on top of the protection already shown there.

Starting Site of Grace: Recluses' River Downstream

Before you go

  • To enter the Realm of Shadow, defeat Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood, then touch the withered arm in Mohg's arena at Mohgwyn Palace.
  • Reach Recluses' River through the coffin passage beneath Shadow Keep.
  1. To enter the Realm of Shadow, defeat Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood, then touch the withered arm in Mohg's arena at Mohgwyn Palace.
  2. For the main Shadow Keep approach, defeat the Golden Hippopotamus and activate Main Gate Plaza grace. Follow the left-hand route through the keep to the upper courtyard lined with burning boats. Watch for the Militiamen hiding beside them.
  3. At the southeastern end of the boat courtyard, find the ladder beside the outer railing and descend to the water. Walk behind the waterfall and take the second ladder down to the painting room.
  4. Strike the false wall beside the Domain of Dragons painting. Follow the revealed passage and rest in the stone coffin to arrive at Castle Watering Hole.
  5. Head south past Ruins of Unte, avoiding the active Furnace Golem. Follow the eastern, left-hand cliff beside the waterfall to Recluses' River Upstream grace.
  6. Continue south along the cliff ledges. Where the route changes sides, jump across to the western, right-hand bank and follow it down to Recluses' River Downstream grace. Clear nearby Man-Flies before attempting the drops.
  7. From Recluses' River Downstream, look below the cliff for the large gravestones. Descend them carefully to the first lower river branch. Stop at this river level rather than continuing over the next waterfall toward the lower hippo lake and Darklight Catacombs.
  8. Follow this river east and southeast around its bend. At the next waterfall, look left for Eastern Nameless Mausoleum. Enter and go down the stairs to the fog gate.
  9. Defeat Rakshasa for her great katana and all four armor pieces. Her long sweeping skill can continue through repeated swings; back away until the sequence ends instead of trying to interrupt every slash.

Notes

  • The four pieces weigh 30.5 and provide 58 poise. Wearing all four gives about 8.2% more attack damage and about 8.2% more incoming damage before accounting for the outfit's protection.
  • Each piece increases physical and elemental attack damage by 2% in both PvE and PvP. It works with ordinary weapon attacks, damaging skills and damaging spells, rather than only with the matching great katana.
  • Each piece also adds a 2% incoming-damage multiplier. The equipped character's Damage Negation display accounts for that penalty, so do not apply another hidden 2% on top of the protection already shown there.
  • The armor still provides protection compared with wearing nothing. Its penalty and relatively low defenses for its weight make it a tradeoff against more protective clothing.
  • The damage bonus does not increase blood-loss buildup, poison buildup or a fixed percentage-based status burst. It also does not increase healing or make a defensive buff stronger.
  • The armor does not grant the weapon's resistance to interruption during attacks. The katana has its own effect and its own drawback; wearing the outfit is not required to use it.
  • All four pieces are guaranteed together after defeating Rakshasa. They are not random drops, and none can be altered.
