About this item

Can be thrown for a small Physical Strike hit or kept as a crafting ingredient. Throwing the raw stone consumes one rock; it is not a reusable throwing weapon.

Hefty Rock Pot uses three Roundrocks and an available Hefty Cracked Pot. Greater Potentate's Cookbook [12] unlocks that recipe; ordinary Cracked Pots do not supply its container.

The cookbook is near Ellac River Cave's waterfall route. Collecting rocks by the river does not automatically unlock the recipe if you have not collected the book.

In-game description

Round piece of rock shaped by the water's current.

Can be used for crafting, or simply for throwing at enemies.

Found on the ground at places like river banks.

It breaks easily, owing to extensive cracking.

Where to find

Banks of the Ellac River

Gravesite Plain

Starting Site of Grace: Ellac River Cave

Before you go

  • Enter the Realm of Shadow.
  1. From Castle Front, take the southeastern road and follow the downhill fork through the camp toward the poison pools.
  2. Near the large Miranda flower, descend the slope toward the crab and enter Ellac River Cave.
  3. Activate the grace and follow the cave out to the river. Search the river banks and collect the rounded stone deposits as you work north toward the ground below Ellac Greatbridge.

Notes

  • Can be thrown for a small Physical Strike hit or kept as a crafting ingredient. Throwing the raw stone consumes one rock; it is not a reusable throwing weapon.
  • Hefty Rock Pot uses three Roundrocks and an available Hefty Cracked Pot. Greater Potentate's Cookbook [12] unlocks that recipe; ordinary Cracked Pots do not supply its container.
  • The cookbook is near Ellac River Cave's waterfall route. Collecting rocks by the river does not automatically unlock the recipe if you have not collected the book.
  • The throw is useful for drawing one enemy's attention or finishing a very weak target. It has neither an explosive area nor an innate status effect, so do not expect a handful of raw stones to work like a crafted hefty pot.
  • It costs no FP to throw. Keeping it in a quick-item or pouch slot lets you use it without replacing the weapon in either hand.
  • You can carry 999 and store another 999. The ordinary gathered rocks along the river can be collected again after the area resets, unlike a one-time quest reward.
  • Look along the banks around Ellac River Cave and Rivermouth Cave. The river lies far below the roads crossing the cliffs, so reaching the correct height matters more than following a map marker from above.
