In-game description

A Rauh Burrow inhabited by a sprite.

Craftable item.

Uses FP to release a sprite that slowly homes in on enemies. After a short time, the sprite fades away into glittering lights, causing a spiritual explosion on its passing.

According to the records left by hornsent scholars, there were also contrivances known as "bondstones" that could manipulate the moment that the sprite vanishes.

Where to find

Crafting after obtaining Antiquity Scholar's Cookbook [2]

Ancient Ruins of Rauh

Starting Site of Grace: Viaduct Minor Tower

Before you go

  • Crafting Kit
  • Antiquity Scholar's Cookbook [2]
  • Ingredients per batch: 1 Rauh Burrow, 1 Spirit Calculus and 1 Beast Horn
  1. From Storehouse, First Floor in Shadow Keep, take the western lift down through the jar-filled rooms. Follow the westward exit to West Rampart and cross its bridge into the upper Ancient Ruins of Rauh. Activate Viaduct Minor Tower.
  2. Continue into the eastern ruin passages and reach the rooms with large braziers and shadowy enemies. Open the stone door leading down the stairs toward the Spider Scorpions.
  3. Clear the small scorpions by the stairs before drawing the larger Spider Scorpions out one at a time. In the lower tunnel, find the corpse with Shadow Realm Rune [5].
  4. Face the northern wall opposite that corpse and strike it to reveal the hidden room. Loot the corpse at the statue's base for Bondstone and Antiquity Scholar's Cookbook [2].
  5. This is inside the upper eastern ruins. The lower Rauh Base valley and its map monument do not lead directly to this room.
  6. Buy the Crafting Kit from Kale at the Church of Elleh if Item Crafting is still unavailable.
  7. Collect 1 Rauh Burrow, 1 Spirit Calculus and 1 Beast Horn. Outside combat, open Item Crafting and select Spritestone. One batch makes 1.

Notes

  • Consumes one stone and 28 FP to release a slowly pursuing sprite. Carry up to ten; it is a consumable attack rather than an unlimited companion summon.
  • Its blast deals Physical damage. Arcane provides the strongest attribute contribution, with smaller equal Intelligence and Faith contributions; the pale light does not make it Holy damage.
  • The sprite explodes after a delay. Bondstone can trigger the explosion early, letting you choose the moment instead of waiting for it to expire.
  • Bondstone is reusable and separate from the crafted Spritestone. Activating it does not refund the consumed stone or the FP paid to create the sprite.
  • Let the sprite approach before triggering it. A target can retreat, use cover or rush your character while the sprite is still travelling.
  • The blast gives 10 stance damage before any additional effects. It is not a Spirit Ash, so it does not need a rebirth monument or replace a summoned ash.
  • Antiquity Scholar's Cookbook [2] unlocks one stone per Rauh Burrow, Spirit Calculus and Beast Horn. The same hidden room gives Bondstone, so collect both pickups before leaving.
  • The room is in the upper eastern Ancient Ruins of Rauh, reached through Shadow Keep's West Rampart. The lower Rauh Base valley does not lead straight to it.
  • Fire Spritestone uses a different cookbook, FP cost, damage type and bouncing path. The similar names do not make their recipes or attributes interchangeable.
