Warming Stone

Throwable

Restores 25 HP per supplied 1-second recovery tick while the recipient stays inside the active area. The area lasts 30 seconds. The calculation requires its measured first-tick offset and the recipient's position state; it does not assume that everyone stays in range. Warming Stone and Sunwarmth Stone do not add their healing together; only the confirmed active warmth source is applied. These stones can also heal nearby enemies.

In-game description

Ruin Fragment blessed with an incantation of the Two Fingers. Craftable item.

Uses FP to generate warmth, continuously restoring the HP of those nearby.

It's said that the Erdtree was once as warm as the gentle sun, and would gradually heal all who bathed in its rays.

Where to find

Crafting after obtaining Nomadic Warrior's Cookbook [19]

Altus Plateau

Starting Site of Grace: Bower of Bounty

Before you go

  • Crafting Kit
  • Nomadic Warrior's Cookbook [19]
  • Ingredients per batch: 1 Erdleaf Flower, 1 Smoldering Butterfly and 1 Sanctuary Stone
  1. From Bower of Bounty, ride northeast through the wooded valley toward the Minor Erdtree. This is the forest below the broken greatbridge, rather than the road on top.
  2. The large Wormface guards the tree. Its Death Blight clouds are dangerous even if you can survive the ordinary hits; move out before the buildup meter fills.
  3. Continue north of the boss clearing into the small ruin with a Teardrop Scarab and smaller Wormfaces.
  4. Search the corpse against the western wall for the cookbook. Keep clear of the breath clouds while looting.
  5. The large Wormface boss is optional for this pickup. Do not descend the separate cellar if you are only looking for the book.
  6. Buy the Crafting Kit from Kale at the Church of Elleh if Item Crafting is still unavailable.
  7. Collect 1 Erdleaf Flower, 1 Smoldering Butterfly and 1 Sanctuary Stone. Outside combat, open Item Crafting and select Warming Stone. One batch makes 1.

Notes

  • Spends 20 FP and consumes one stone to leave a healing area for 30 seconds. It restores 25 HP per second while you stay nearby, for roughly 750 HP over the full duration if you need that much healing.
  • The healing area remains on the ground instead of following you. It can heal other players, summons and enemies, so use a cleared corner when you want to recover without helping an opponent.
  • Multiple Warming Stones do not multiply their healing. Sunwarmth Stone replaces this with a stronger 30-HP-per-second version, rather than adding both rates together.
  • Frenzyflame Stone is a separate effect that can stack with it for 60 HP per second, provided the person being healed currently hosts the Frenzied Flame.
  • Its fixed healing does not scale with Faith, a seal's reinforcement or Sacred Tears. It also does not require a memorized healing incantation or a casting tool.
  • It can heal the injured Forager Brood near Church of the Crusade. Let the healing take effect, then reload and return for that encounter's dialogue and reward rather than attacking the creature.
  • The stone does not cure Poison or Scarlet Rot. Healing can offset some damage while you remain in the area, but the underlying status continues until cured or expired.
  • Can carry 10. Crafting requires Nomadic Warrior's Cookbook [19], a Crafting Kit, one Erdleaf Flower, one Smoldering Butterfly and one Sanctuary Stone per stone.
