Effects
Reduces all damage taken by 10% for 70 seconds, or 5% in PvP. Allies reached by the activation can also receive it. This replaces other aura buffs, including Golden Vow and Dragonbolt of Florissax.
For the same 70-second aura, the left-hand guard effect reduces damage that gets through the block by another 20%. This does not increase Guard Boost or reduce stamina loss. A hit that bypasses the guard receives only the body protection.

In-game description
Favor bestowed by the Dragon Communion priestess in the name of the dragon lord Placidusax.
Consume FP to increase all forms of damage negation (including physical). This also increases damage negation while guarding as an additional effect.
Each night, the priestess offers her own sleep to her lord, and in turn receives the power of His favor.
Where to find
Dragon Communion Priestess at the Grand Altar
Foot of the Jagged Peak
Starting Site of Grace: Grand Altar of Dragon Communion
Before you go
- Bayle must still be alive.
- Do not already carry an Ancient Dragon's Blessing.
- From Castle Front, follow the road southeast toward Pillar Path Waypoint. At the fork, use the lower road toward Igon rather than climbing to the Suppressing Pillar.
- Continue south-southwest past the broken dragon statues. An Ancient Dragon-Man invades along this approach. The cave entrance is on the left near the end of the path, marked by a fire.
- Activate Dragon's Pit grace and follow the lit passage down. Watch for skeletons below the first ledge and around the next corner. Strike their glowing remains after knocking them down to stop them getting back up.
- In the large cavern with the pillars, follow the left-hand ledge down and take the passage beside the distant crossbow skeleton. Continue onto the sloping stairs in the next chamber.
- Take the downward route toward the large altar and pit. The stairs going up lead to an optional Magma Wyrm; that fight is not needed to reach the exit.
- At the bottom, approach the message beside the deep chasm. Walk straight off this lowest ledge into the pit to land safely by the boss mist. Do not jump from the higher rooms or aim toward the side walls.
- Defeat the Ancient Dragon-Man behind the mist. Open the large doors at the back of the arena instead of using the return-to-entrance exit, then follow the tunnel to Dragon's Pit Terminus grace.
- Leave Dragon's Pit Terminus and descend to the lake bed with a Jagged Peak Drake. You can ride past the drake; follow the southern canyon toward the enormous dead dragon.
- Pass the dragon statues and emerge beside the ruined structure north of Grand Altar of Dragon Communion. The huge stone bowl and dead dragon identify the altar.
- Speak to the Dragon Communion Priestess beside the great bowl and ask for power. Receive Ancient Dragon's Blessing before defeating Bayle, provided you are not already carrying one.
- After using the blessing, return and ask again if her service is still available. The item is a dialogue gift, rather than a pickup from the enormous dead dragon.
Notes
- For 70 seconds, reduces damage of every ordinary damage type by 10% against enemies or 5% against players. This is an aura buff, so Golden Vow or another aura replaces it rather than stacking as a second aura.
- Also reduces the damage passing through a guard by 20%. This improves the part your guarding armament does not already block, rather than adding a flat 20 points to every guard-negation value.
- Costs 15 FP and consumes the blessing. The body protection is useful without a shield, while the additional guarding benefit requires an actual block.
- You can ask the Dragon Communion Priestess for another after using it while her service is available. You can hold only one at a time, so it is not a supply you can stockpile before the quest ends.
- Defeating Bayle ends the normal replacement supply. Giving the priestess Thiollier's Concoction also changes her service and quest outcome; finish any blessing use you want beforehand.
- The blessing is separate from Priestess Heart and the other rewards tied to Bayle's defeat. Using it does not transform you or consume a Dragon Heart.
- You can keep a compatible body buff such as Boiled Crab alongside this aura. The reductions multiply; they are not added together as percentage points.
