Starting Site of Grace: Avenue Balcony

Before you go

Enter Leyndell after obtaining two Great Runes and visiting the Two Fingers at Roundtable Hold. Follow the main avenue to the stairway down to Avenue Balcony grace.
From Avenue Balcony, take the stairs down toward the Leyndell Knight with the greatbow. Turn right as you enter that area and look northeast for the glowing item on a rooftop.
Drop into the lower courtyard on that side. Use the stairs and rubble beside the houses to get onto the roofs, then jump across the adjoining rooftops toward the item you spotted.
Search the corpse on the roof to collect Black Bow. Keep away from the edges while the nearby enemies are attacking.
Collect it before defeating Maliketh. After the capital changes, the original rooftop pickup is unavailable for the rest of that journey.

Dexterity gives more physical scaling than Strength. It is a longbow with the quick running, rolling and jumping shots normally associated with light bows.
This combination gives it longer-range bow use without the usual stationary longbow movement pattern. Its fixed Barrage is the tradeoff; it cannot switch to Mighty Shot or another Ash.
The rooftop corpse disappears when Maliketh changes Leyndell into the Ashen Capital. Collect it beforehand rather than expecting the ashes to reveal another copy.
Barrage costs 2 FP for each rapid shot and spends one arrow per shot. Its arrows apply 75% of normal ammunition status buildup per hit, so the benefit is repeated hits rather than full-strength buildup on each arrow.
Barrage is fixed and cannot be replaced with another Ash of War.
Upgrade with Somber Smithing Stones to +10.
Grease and weapon enchantments cannot be applied. Choose the ammunition for added elemental damage or status buildup; this bow has no Arcane scaling to increase the arrows' status buildup.
Uses arrows, rather than bolts or greatarrows. Equip up to two arrow types in the ammunition slots and use the corresponding firing input to choose between them.
Requires 9 Strength and 20 Dexterity. Weighs 4. Ordinary shots spend stamina and ammunition; the skill also needs its listed FP.
