Before you go

  • Defeat the golden shade of Godfrey and reach Erdtree Sanctuary.
  • Collect it before defeating Maliketh.
  1. From Erdtree Sanctuary, go out onto the eastern balcony and climb the large root running up toward the upper floor. Follow it into the upper level, then leave through the northern opening.
  2. Turn left immediately and jump down onto the sloped roof beside the sanctuary. Climb the roof toward the open window and jump through it.
  3. Follow the upper walkway inside and open the chest for Erdtree Bow. You can lower the nearby ladder to make the return easier.

Notes

  • Requires 8 Strength, 12 Dexterity and 14 Faith and weighs 4. Faith provides its strongest scaling contribution to holy damage; Dexterity and Strength contribute to the smaller physical portion, with Dexterity slightly ahead.
  • Its built-in holy damage combines with the holy part of Golden Arrows or Haligbone Arrows. Matching the damage type helps that combined portion against the enemy's defense; it does not make the arrow ignore holy resistance.
  • The description's Faith wording does not turn every part of every ammunition type into Faith-scaled holy damage. Physical and elemental portions still follow their actual scaling and damage types.
  • Mighty Shot is fixed and costs 6 FP plus one arrow when fired. Holding the ready stance alone is free, but the slow empowered shot needs a safe firing opening.
  • Uses ordinary arrows, not greatarrows or crossbow bolts. It has the conventional longbow moveset rather than Black Bow's quick light-bow movement shots.
  • Upgrade with Somber Smithing Stones to +10. Its skill and affinity cannot be changed, and grease or a weapon enchantment cannot be applied. The Faith requirement does not make it a sacred seal.
  • Collect its chest while Leyndell is still the Royal Capital, before defeating Maliketh. Burning the Erdtree alone is not the final cutoff. The rooftop window reaches the upper chest; the enormous golden spear below the sanctuary holds Bolt of Gransax instead.
