Starting Site of Grace: Main Caria Manor Gate

Reach the western Liurnia road and follow it north through Kingsrealm Ruins. Strike the illusory wall blocking the road at the northern end, then continue past Iji at Road to the Manor.
Ride toward the large manor while avoiding the magical strikes falling along the approach. Activate Main Caria Manor Gate grace at the entrance.
Enter the ground-floor courtyard and head northeast instead of taking the northwestern path toward the manor building. Watch for fingercreepers hidden below the soil.
Find the Teardrop Scarab near the blue crystal formations and kill it before it escapes. If it disappears, rest at the gate grace and return.
The scarab gives Carian Piercer directly. The spell is separate from the later boss reward.

Charging extends the step and reach and can knock down enemies vulnerable to that reaction. Large bosses are not guaranteed to fall over.
On foot, its Magic attack power is 287% of Sorcery Scaling normally or 355% when charged, before the target's defenses.
Damage follows the casting staff's Sorcery Scaling. Intelligence is the damage attribute for an ordinary Intelligence staff, while a hybrid staff follows its own scaling.
Carian Glintstone Staff strengthens this sword sorcery by 15% while held in an active hand. Carian Glintblade Staff gives a different bonus to flying glintblade spells.
Godfrey Icon strengthens a charged cast. The forward sword is a spell attack rather than a Physical Pierce hit, so Spear Talisman does not give it a thrust counter-hit bonus.
A charged thrust can keep a susceptible enemy down, but charging takes longer. Leave enough space to finish the cast rather than assuming the knockdown protects its windup.
It can be cast on Torrent. The mounted cast has different attack behavior from the stronger on-foot charged thrust.
The scarab is in the entrance courtyard. You can collect the spell without crossing the elevated walkways or defeating Loretta.
