In-game description

A lump of animal flesh with a heat that never cools.

Craftable item.

Boosts vigor, stamina, strength, and dexterity at the cost of gradual HP loss.

An imitation of dragonscale flesh created by human hands, used to sate the hunger of drake warriors—if only briefly.

Where to find

Crafting after obtaining Igon's Cookbook [2]

Jagged Peak

Starting Site of Grace: Jagged Peak Mountainside

Before you go

  • Crafting Kit
  • Igon's Cookbook [2]
  • Ingredients per batch: 5 Rada Fruit, 1 Lump of Flesh, 1 Sharp Gravel Stone and 1 Dragon's Calorbloom
  1. From Castle Front, follow the road southeast toward Pillar Path Waypoint. At the fork, use the lower road toward Igon rather than climbing to the Suppressing Pillar.
  2. Continue south-southwest past the broken dragon statues. An Ancient Dragon-Man invades along this approach. The cave entrance is on the left near the end of the path, marked by a fire.
  3. Activate Dragon's Pit grace and follow the lit passage down. Watch for skeletons below the first ledge and around the next corner. Strike their glowing remains after knocking them down to stop them getting back up.
  4. In the large cavern with the pillars, follow the left-hand ledge down and take the passage beside the distant crossbow skeleton. Continue onto the sloping stairs in the next chamber.
  5. Take the downward route toward the large altar and pit. The stairs going up lead to an optional Magma Wyrm; that fight is not needed to reach the exit.
  6. At the bottom, approach the message beside the deep chasm. Walk straight off this lowest ledge into the pit to land safely by the boss mist. Do not jump from the higher rooms or aim toward the side walls.
  7. Defeat the Ancient Dragon-Man behind the mist. Open the large doors at the back of the arena instead of using the return-to-entrance exit, then follow the tunnel to Dragon's Pit Terminus grace.
  8. From Dragon's Pit Terminus, descend to the first drake's lake bed. Use the northeastern archway and follow the path uphill as it bends southeast. The drake fight is optional.
  9. Continue along the narrow cliff path until you reach a spiritspring on the east side. This is the first spiritspring on the ascent, before the bridge to Foot of the Jagged Peak.
  10. Use the spiritspring to jump east, then cross the bridge south-southeast and activate Foot of the Jagged Peak grace.
  11. Follow the southern uphill path over the rocks to the two fighting drakes. You can skirt their arena to continue east without defeating them.
  12. Take the eastern canyon, climb using the next two spiritsprings and follow the valley uphill. Two boulders roll down the slope ahead; use the rocks on the right for cover before continuing.
  13. At the top of the boulder slope, turn east-northeast toward Ancient Dragon Senessax. You can ride past the dragon and take the northern uphill exit instead of fighting.
  14. Climb past the dead dragons to Jagged Peak Mountainside grace. Lightning strikes along the upper mountain, so move away from the marks that appear on the ground.
  15. From Mountainside grace, head northeast past the electric oozes and follow the narrow cliff as it bends east. Loot the corpse at its far end.
  16. Return along the same ledge. The southwest uphill path from the grace continues toward the summit and is not the cookbook branch.
  17. Buy the Crafting Kit from Kalé at Church of Elleh for 300 runes if Item Crafting is still unavailable.
  18. Collect 5 Rada Fruit, 1 Lump of Flesh, 1 Sharp Gravel Stone and 1 Dragon's Calorbloom. Outside combat, open Item Crafting and select Dragon Communion Flesh. One batch makes 1.

Notes

  • Adds 6 each to Vigor, Endurance, Strength and Dexterity for 90 seconds, while draining 3 HP per second. Mind, Intelligence, Faith and Arcane are unaffected.
  • The Vigor and Endurance increases can raise maximum HP, stamina and equip load through those attributes. They do not cancel the continuous health drain.
  • A full 90 seconds costs 270 HP through the drain alone. Keep healing or regeneration available, particularly during travel or a long pause between attack openings.
  • Temporary requirements and equip-load thresholds end with the buff. If the extra attributes are all that let you wield a weapon or keep a lighter roll, losing the effect changes that immediately.
  • This is a body buff. It does not stack with Dragonscale Flesh, defensive foods or Flame, Grant Me Strength. Eating another body buff replaces it.
  • Costs no FP. Each craft makes one using five Rada Fruit, one Lump of Flesh, one Sharp Gravel Stone and one Dragon's Calorbloom. Carry up to 10 and store another 600.
  • Its cookbook is below the summit of Jagged Peak. Bayle does not need to be defeated to learn the recipe.
