1. Ride east from Fort Haight West and climb the approach to the fort, watching the soldiers and Pumpkin Head.
2. Enter the gate and climb the first set of stairs inside.
3. Before climbing the tall tower, enter the dark room off the stairway.
4. Loot the cookbook inside. The medallion half is in a different chest farther up the tower.
5. Buy the Crafting Kit from Kalé at Church of Elleh for 300 runes if Item Crafting is still unavailable. Finding a cookbook alone does not open the crafting menu.
6. Collect 1 Root Resin, 1 Bloodrose and 1 String, then open Item Crafting outside combat and select Drawstring Blood Grease. One batch makes 1.

Notes

• Quickly adds 38 base blood loss buildup for 15 seconds. It adds buildup rather than causing an immediate bleed burst on every hit.
• The coating can add to a compatible weapon's innate bleed. The amount applied by each attack still depends on that attack's status modifier, so a rapid multi-hit move does not necessarily apply the full amount on every contact.
• Arcane improves this added buildup only when the coated weapon actually has Arcane scaling. Ripple Blade, Ripple Crescent Halberd and Varré's Bouquet are examples; raising Arcane on an ordinary Heavy weapon does not improve the grease.
• The target must be vulnerable to blood loss and its meter must fill. This coating does not help against a bleed-immune enemy merely because the application is faster.
• Use a weapon that allows grease. Standard, Heavy, Keen and Quality usually permit it; elemental and status affinities usually prevent it. Some unique weapons have their own rules.
• This uses the weapon-buff slot. Another grease, weapon enchantment or coating skill replaces it instead of adding a second coating. Switching away from the weapon can remove it.
• Apply it to the weapon you intend to fight with. It does not coat every equipped armament or add its effect to unrelated spells.
• Each application consumes one grease and costs no FP. Carry up to 30, with another 600 in storage.
• Each craft makes one and uses 1 Root Resin, 1 Bloodrose and 1 String. The cookbook stays in your inventory.
