1. Reach the Capital Outskirts and find Minor Erdtree Church on the southern side of the outer walls.
2. Enter the church and activate its grace.
3. Check the corpse beside the pot near the small trees and loot the cookbook.
4. This is outside Leyndell. The city's main entrance and inner streets are not required.
5. Buy the Crafting Kit from Kalé at Church of Elleh for 300 runes if Item Crafting is unavailable. With the book and kit owned, open Item Crafting outside combat.
6. Collect 1 Root Resin and 1 Golden Sunflower, then open Item Crafting outside combat and select Holy Grease. One batch makes 1.

Notes

• Adds 85 Holy attack power to a compatible weapon for 60 seconds. This is an attack-power addition, so enemy defenses and the attack used determine the extra HP damage.
• The added Holy attack power is fixed rather than improved by Faith. It does not change the weapon's affinity or turn the weapon into a Sacred Seal.
• Adding Holy damage alone does not give the special anti-undead behavior of skills such as Sacred Blade. Do not assume this coating automatically prevents every skeleton from reviving.
• Golden Grease adds 120 Holy attack power instead. It uses different materials and replaces this coating rather than combining with it.
• Use a weapon that allows coatings. Standard, Heavy, Keen and Quality are the usual compatible affinities; elemental and status affinities normally prevent grease, with separate restrictions for unique weapons.
• Uses the weapon-buff slot. Another grease or a weapon enchantment replaces the coating, rather than stacking a second coating on top.
• Applying it spends one prepared item and costs no FP. Carry up to ten, with another 600 in storage; switching away from the coated weapon can remove the effect.
• Each batch uses 1 Root Resin and 1 Golden Sunflower. Applying the grease spends one prepared item; it does not consume the cookbook.
