In-game description
Twinblade symbolizing abundance.
The secret treasure of the tower.
Though the blades, fashioned from golden shoots, are largely wilted and darkened, their luster can be restored by dealing damage to foes. However, damage dealt to Those Who Live in Death will have no such effect.
Skill
Using the power of the vortex, violently twirl the armament, dealing multiple slashes directly ahead. The greater the restored luster of the blades, the greater the power of this skill. However, use of this skill will fully consume the blades' luster.
Where to find
Enir-Ilim
Starting Site of Grace: Spiral Rise
Before you go
- To enter the Realm of Shadow, defeat Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood, then touch the withered arm in Mohg's arena at Mohgwyn Palace.
- Defeat Messmer and Romina, burn the sealing tree, and reach Spiral Rise in Enir-Ilim.
- Defeat Messmer in Shadow Keep for his kindling and Romina at Church of the Bud in the Ancient Ruins of Rauh.
- Finish the companion quest steps you want before burning the Sealing Tree behind Romina with Messmer's Kindling. This advances their quests and carries you to Enir-Ilim: Outer Wall.
- From Outer Wall, climb northeast to the large balcony, then southwest up the next stairs. Turn southeast toward the Divine Bird Warrior and enter the building beyond it. Climb the broken ledges and cross the balcony to First Rise grace.
- From First Rise, take the stairs upward through the building and use the southwest doorway toward the courtyard route. Continue through to the courtyard with the large patrolling inquisitor and the smaller enemies praying below.
- Take the upward stairs on the courtyard's southeastern side, rather than the lower tree detour. Use the stone railings for cover from the inquisitors' rapid spells, then continue up beside the large tree to the Divine Beast Warrior.
- Get past the warrior and climb northwest. Keep moving when the upper inquisitors cast attacks beneath your feet. Open the large double doors at the top of the stairs and activate Spiral Rise grace.
- From Spiral Rise, go back down the stairs toward the lightning-wielding Divine Beast Warrior. Find the lower staircase beside the main route and jump down onto it. Follow it toward the round platform.
- At the broken railing, look below for the stone ledge along the building. Drop onto it, follow the ledges around, and jump across to the curved stone decoration wrapped around the next tower.
- Follow that curved ledge to the right and descend onto its lower section. Drop again to the wider platform, then continue down to the ledge with Fireproof Pickled Liver.
- Face the open window across the gap. Take a running jump through the window into Belurat. Clear the enemy inside and watch for the Spider-Scorpion waiting above the outside doorway.
- Leave onto the balcony, turn right, and descend to the large lift. Ride it down, continue through the Inquisitor rooms, and pass the Divine Beast Warrior guarding the lower route.
- Follow the stairs to the next lift and take it down. Cross the bridge over Belurat's poison area and open the large doors at its far end. Collect Euporia from the altar room beyond.
Notes
- Requires 16 Strength, 16 Dexterity and 24 Faith, and weighs 8.5. Strength and Dexterity contribute equally to Physical damage, while Faith improves its larger Holy portion.
- Dealing damage builds the blades' luster. The two tiers use 25 and 50 accumulated points, rather than a universal count of 25 or 50 swings; different attack contacts can contribute differently.
- The first glow adds 95 Holy attack power and the stronger glow adds 120. The second replaces the first rather than adding both for 215.
- Luster fades when you stop maintaining pressure. Damaging Those Who Live in Death does not build it, so ordinary skeletons are unsuitable for preparing the beam.
- Euporia Vortex costs 28 FP and spends all stored luster. Without a glow it gives only the close twinblade spin; the first tier adds a Holy beam and the second greatly extends the attack.
- The close spin uses the weapon's attack power. The independent Holy beam improves through Faith and upgrades, rather than borrowing the ordinary Physical damage contributed by Strength and Dexterity.
- The strongest version has a much greater stamina cost, reaching 110 across its close spins. Save enough room to recover or escape instead of assuming the fixed FP cost means a fixed total commitment.
- Shard of Alexander improves the skill, and Holy bonuses strengthen its golden damage. Godfrey Icon does not apply because building luster is different from charging the skill.
- The close twirl can build consecutive-hit bonuses; the beam does not add the same counter progress. Do not count every visible beam tick as another Winged Sword Insignia trigger.
- Using the skill consumes the stored power even when the enemy moves away. Cancelling the stronger sequence early also gives up its remaining beam rather than saving the luster for another cast.
- When using two copies, both can build luster, but activating the skill consumes the stored luster on both. It is not two independent fully charged beams to use one after the other.
- Uses Somber Smithing Stones to +10. Its skill and affinity are fixed, and grease or weapon enchantments cannot be applied.
- It is a legendary Realm of Shadow weapon, but is not required for the original Legendary Armaments achievement. The pickup lies back in Belurat and is reached by descending from Enir-Ilim, not by opening the early poison-swamp door.
