About this spirit

Costs 50 FP and summons two imps. One use brings out both, and they share the ashes' upgrade level.

Their serrated hatchets deal Physical damage and build blood loss, while their thrown magic pots provide a ranged Magic attack. Bleed immunity removes the benefit of their buildup.

They move quickly and can attack from different angles, but broad swings and explosions can catch both. Do not expect the pair to hold an enemy still indefinitely.

In-game description

Ashen remains in which spirits yet dwell.

Use to summon two fanged imp spirits.

These spirits are well suited to causing a disturbance, moving nimbly like pests and hurling magic pots.

The two imps seem fond of each other's company.

Where to find

Character creation

  1. Choose Fanged Imp Ashes as your starting keepsake when creating the character.
  2. Obtain the Spirit Calling Bell before attempting to summon them in a permitted area.

Isolated Merchant on the academy bridge

Liurnia of the Lakes

Starting Site of Grace: Main Academy Gate

Before you go

  • Have 2,000 runes.
  • Have the Academy Glintstone Key to use the South Raya Lucaria Gate seal on this route.
  1. Take the Academy Glintstone Key from the corpse behind Smarag, north of Temple Quarter in western Liurnia. You can collect it without defeating the dragon.
  2. Use the seal at South Raya Lucaria Gate to reach Main Academy Gate grace. Walk southeast along the bridge through the blue seal without selecting its teleport prompt.
  3. Continue past the wolves to the Isolated Merchant at the broken end of the bridge. Buy Fanged Imp Ashes for 2,000 runes.
  4. Obtain the Spirit Calling Bell separately if you do not already have it. Buying these ashes alone does not grant the ability to summon.

Notes

  • Costs 50 FP and summons two imps. One use brings out both, and they share the ashes' upgrade level.
  • Their serrated hatchets deal Physical damage and build blood loss, while their thrown magic pots provide a ranged Magic attack. Bleed immunity removes the benefit of their buildup.
  • They move quickly and can attack from different angles, but broad swings and explosions can catch both. Do not expect the pair to hold an enemy still indefinitely.
  • Can solve the imp-fighting puzzle at Albinauric Rise in eastern Consecrated Snowfield. Summon them within the permitted area and let them fight a hostile imp there; letting them defeat one is a reliable way to open the tower.
  • Simply carrying the ashes or summoning them far from the tower does not solve that puzzle. You need the nearby hostile imps to take part in the fight.
  • Can be chosen as a keepsake when creating a character, or purchased for 2,000 runes from the academy bridge merchant. Choosing the keepsake does not provide the Spirit Calling Bell.
  • Upgrade the pair with Grave Glovewort. The two spirits are one summon choice, rather than two separate uses of the encounter's summoning allowance.
