About this item
Reduces incoming fire damage by 15% for 120 seconds. Against other players, the reduction is 10%.
Only the fire portion of an incoming attack benefits. Physical damage and other elements need their own protection.
This is a body buff. Other body buffs, including defensive foods and Flame, Grant Me Strength, can replace it rather than stacking with it.

Where to find
Crafting after obtaining Armorer's Cookbook [1]
Limgrave
Starting Site of Grace: Agheel Lake North
Before you go
- Crafting Kit
- Armorer's Cookbook [1]
- Ingredients per batch: 3 Rowa Fruit, 1 Beast Liver and 1 Smoldering Butterfly
- From the grace, ride northeast toward the camp with tents and mounted Kaiden warriors.
- Approach the camp carefully so the riders do not surround you. Search the corpses among the tents.
- Loot the cookbook from the camp. You do not need to clear every enemy before taking it.
- If crafting is unavailable, buy the Crafting Kit from Kale at Church of Elleh for 300 runes. Restocking this food requires its ingredients, not another copy of the cookbook.
- Collect 3 Rowa Fruit, 1 Beast Liver and 1 Smoldering Butterfly. Outside combat, open Item Crafting and select Fireproof Dried Liver. One batch makes 1.
Notes
- Reduces incoming fire damage by 15% for 120 seconds. Against other players, the reduction is 10%.
- Only the fire portion of an incoming attack benefits. Physical damage and other elements need their own protection.
- This is a body buff. Other body buffs, including defensive foods and Flame, Grant Me Strength, can replace it rather than stacking with it.
- Costs no FP and has no Faith requirement. You can carry five at a time, with additional servings in storage.
- Can combine with armor, the Flamedrake talismans and Golden Vow's separate aura. Their reductions multiply rather than adding up to complete immunity.
- Using another serving refreshes the duration rather than stacking another layer of protection. A different dried liver replaces this body buff, so three livers do not protect against three elements together.
- This is the dried version. The pickled version is a separate consumable with different protection, rather than an additional stack of the same food.
- The recipe makes one serving per batch. The cookbook is retained after crafting; the listed ingredients are spent each time.
