About this item

Increases runes earned from defeated enemies by 30% for three minutes. Have the effect active when the reward arrives, rather than waiting until the rune counter has already increased.

Does not increase the fixed value of consumed Golden Runes or Remembrances, runes received by selling equipment, or the number of runes recovered from your bloodstain.

Combines with Gold Scarab's 20% bonus for 56% more runes overall. The two bonuses multiply rather than adding their percentages.

In-game description

Four-toed foot of a fowl, pickled in a golden medicinal solution.

Craftable item.

Boosts the amount of runes obtained from defeating enemies for a certain duration.

Since old times, the needy would scrape the meat clean even from a fowl's claw.

Where to find

Crafting after obtaining Missionary's Cookbook [2]

Limgrave

Starting Site of Grace: Murkwater Cave

Before you go

  • Crafting Kit
  • Missionary's Cookbook [2]
  • Ingredients per batch: 3 Rowa Fruit, 1 Four-Toed Fowl Foot and 1 Gold Firefly
  • Spare Patches
  • 800 runes
  1. Follow the river north from Agheel Lake and enter Murkwater Cave in the western wall of the ravine.
  2. Activate the cave grace, clear the bandits and open the chest in the back room to trigger Patches' fight. When he surrenders, stop attacking and speak to him.
  3. Leave and reload the cave, then speak to him again to open his shop.
  4. Buy the cookbook for 800 runes. If he has moved, check his shop at his next quest location.
  5. If Patches has died, offer his bell bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold and buy the unpurchased book from his shop there.
  6. Buy the Crafting Kit from Kalé at Church of Elleh for 300 runes if Item Crafting is unavailable.
  7. Collect 3 Rowa Fruit, 1 Four-Toed Fowl Foot and 1 Gold Firefly. Outside combat, open Item Crafting and select Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot. One batch makes 1.

Notes

  • Increases runes earned from defeated enemies by 30% for three minutes. Have the effect active when the reward arrives, rather than waiting until the rune counter has already increased.
  • Does not increase the fixed value of consumed Golden Runes or Remembrances, runes received by selling equipment, or the number of runes recovered from your bloodstain.
  • Combines with Gold Scarab's 20% bonus for 56% more runes overall. The two bonuses multiply rather than adding their percentages.
  • Golden Horn Tender and Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot replace each other. Using both does not combine their rune bonuses, and another use does not bank several three-minute periods.
  • Improves the rune reward, not random item drops. Silver consumables and Silver Scarab serve the separate Item Discovery purpose.
  • The recipe makes one from three Rowa Fruit, one Four-Toed Fowl Foot and one Gold Firefly.
  • Patches sells the required second Missionary book for 800 runes. Spare him when he surrenders, or buy the unpurchased book through his bell bearing if he has already died.
  • The effect survives resting at a grace, so a short farming loop can cover several attempts. Death or fast travel removes it; apply a replacement after arriving at your destination.
  • Each use consumes one and costs no FP. Carry up to ten, with another 999 in storage.
