Starting Site of Grace: Gatefront
- From Church of Elleh, follow the road north through the woods to Gatefront Ruins. Activate Gatefront beside the large gate before starting the farm.
- At Gatefront Ruins, find the Godrick Soldiers carrying crossbows among the guards around the road and carriages.
- Defeat the crossbow carriers and check their drops. Rest at Gatefront and repeat if needed. Soldiers carrying swords, spears or shields have different weapon drops.
Notes
- It has no attribute damage scaling. Meet its 14 Strength and 10 Dexterity requirements; extra Strength or Dexterity does not directly increase its damage.
- It deals more physical damage than Light Crossbow at the same upgrade level. The tradeoff is higher requirements and 5.5 weight instead of 4.
- It fires ordinary crossbow bolts. The bolt's own damage type or status property matters, but the crossbow does not gain a new attribute scaling stat from the ammunition.
- Kick is fixed. You cannot change its affinity, replace the skill, or apply grease or a weapon enchantment.
- Upgrade it with Smithing Stones, up to +25.
- The selected Godrick Soldier carriers have a 2% base drop chance at 100 Discovery. A crossbow-bearing Foot Soldier has a different weapon drop and should not be mistaken for the armored soldier.
- Its listed range is 42. You can prepare a loaded shot and fire one-handed, but manual precision aiming uses two hands and does not skip the next reload.
