Limgrave

Starting Site of Grace: Limgrave Tower Bridge

Before you go

  • Reach the bridge-side courtyard in Stormveil Castle.
  1. Inside Stormveil, work down from Liftside Chamber through the soldier-filled main courtyard and follow the descending main road toward the front gate. Take the eastern passage past the bladed lion to reach Limgrave Tower Bridge grace; Godrick and the bridge golems are unnecessary for the farm.
  2. From Limgrave Tower Bridge, return west toward the castle courtyard. Look for the crossbow-carrying Exile Soldier on the raised platform southwest of the grace.
  3. Defeat that soldier and check its drop, then rest and repeat if needed. Crossbow-wielding Foot Soldiers elsewhere can also drop the weapon, but enemies with bows drop different equipment.

Notes

  • It has no attribute damage scaling. Its 10 Strength and 8 Dexterity requirements are low, and extra points in those stats do not directly increase its damage.
  • At 3.5 weight, it is lighter than Light Crossbow at 4. Its physical damage is also lower at the same upgrade level, so the weight saving has a damage tradeoff.
  • It needs crossbow bolts and a reload between shots. An elemental or status bolt supplies its own effect; the crossbow does not create that effect on ordinary bolts.
  • Kick is fixed, with no replacement Ash of War, affinity change, grease or weapon enchantment.
  • Upgrade it with Smithing Stones, up to +25.
  • The selected Stormveil Exile has a 2% base drop chance at 100 Discovery. Eligible Foot Soldier carriers use a different 4% base roll.
  • Its listed range is 42. It can fire a loaded bolt one-handed, with manual precision aiming available when two-handed. Its low requirements do not remove the reload after firing.
