Resurrection painting reward behind Caria Manor

Liurnia of the Lakes

Starting Site of Grace: Behind Caria Manor

Before you go

• Examine Resurrection Painting and defeat Royal Knight Loretta in Caria Manor.

1. On eastern Liurnia's high ground, start at Liurnia Highway North and follow the muddy path north. Stay on the plateau rather than descending into the lake.
2. Reach Artist's Shack near the cliff, northwest of Carian Study Hall. Activate its grace and examine Resurrection Painting inside. This is the Liurnia shack, not the Homing Instinct shack in Limgrave.
3. Reach the western Liurnia road and follow it north through Kingsrealm Ruins. Strike the illusory wall blocking the road at the northern end, then continue past Iji at Road to the Manor.
4. Ride toward the large manor while avoiding the magical strikes falling along the approach. Activate Main Caria Manor Gate grace at the entrance.
5. Inside, follow the courtyard path northwest toward the building in the far corner. Fingercreepers hide among the plants and beneath the ground; do not stop on a buried hand.
6. Enter the building with the seated spirit and climb its stairs to Manor Lower Level grace.
7. Take the elevated walkways east and continue straight along the main route at the first junction. Spectral soldiers appear along the bridges. Reach the far building and take its lift up to Manor Upper Level.
8. Leave the upper grace, pass the wolves in the garden and climb the main stone stairway toward the Troll Knight and sorcerers.
9. Continue up the stairs beyond the troll and Pages to the large circular courtyard. Defeat Royal Knight Loretta, then activate Royal Moongazing Grounds grace.
10. Leave Loretta's arena through the rear exit into Three Sisters. Follow the path clockwise around the manor's northern side to reach Behind Caria Manor grace.
11. Continue southeast from that grace toward the cliffside graveyard east of the manor. Search among the graves for the seated painter's spirit, with Raya Lucaria visible in the distance.
12. Approach the painter and wait for it to disappear. Collect the Juvenile Scholar Cap, Juvenile Scholar Robe and Larval Tear it leaves. If there is no spirit, make sure you examined Resurrection Painting at the Liurnia Artist's Shack first.

Notes

• A two-piece outfit consisting of the cap and robe, with no matching gloves or trousers. The two pieces weigh 5.5 and provide nine poise together.
• Neither piece gives Intelligence or a spell bonus, and completing the outfit adds no hidden effect. Its academy appearance does not improve sorceries.
• Both pieces are awarded together by the Resurrection painter, along with a Larval Tear. Examine the original painting first, then find the spirit in the graveyard behind Caria Manor.
• Neither piece can be altered. The armor is light and offers more elemental than physical protection.
