Gravity sorceries

In-game description

One of the glintstone sorceries that manipulates gravitational forces.

Summons a void that emits a rain of small meteorites.

Hold to continue the effect.

This sorcery originates from the Onyx Lords, who had skin of stone, and were called lords in reverential fear of their destructive power.

Where to find

Royal Grave Evergaol

Liurnia of the Lakes

Starting Site of Grace: Behind Caria Manor

  1. Reach the western Liurnia road and follow it north through Kingsrealm Ruins. Strike the illusory wall blocking the road at the northern end, then continue past Iji at Road to the Manor.
  2. Ride toward the large manor while avoiding the magical strikes falling along the approach. Activate Main Caria Manor Gate grace at the entrance.
  3. Inside, follow the courtyard path northwest toward the building in the far corner. Fingercreepers hide among the plants and beneath the ground; do not stop on a buried hand.
  4. Enter the building with the seated spirit and climb its stairs to Manor Lower Level grace.
  5. Take the elevated walkways east and continue straight along the main route at the first junction. Spectral soldiers appear along the bridges. Reach the far building and take its lift up to Manor Upper Level.
  6. Leave the upper grace, pass the wolves in the garden and climb the main stone stairway toward the Troll Knight and sorcerers.
  7. Continue up the stairs beyond the troll and Pages to the large circular courtyard. Defeat Royal Knight Loretta, then activate Royal Moongazing Grounds grace.
  8. Leave Loretta's arena through the rear exit into Three Sisters. Follow the eastern route around the back of the manor to Behind Caria Manor grace.
  9. Continue east across the graveyard to Royal Grave Evergaol. Interact with its center and defeat the Onyx Lord inside for Meteorite. Advancing Ranni's quest is unnecessary.

Notes

  • Requires 30 Intelligence, one memory slot and a glintstone staff. Starting the shower costs 30 FP; continuing to hold the cast spends another 10 FP for each continued casting segment.
  • The meteorites deal both Physical and Magic damage. Both portions use the casting staff's Sorcery Scaling; the Physical part does not gain a separate Strength-scaling bonus.
  • Hold the cast to continue the shower. This is sustained casting rather than a charged release, so Godfrey Icon does not improve it.
  • The spread is easier to land on a large, nearby target than on a small enemy that keeps moving. More time spent casting does not guarantee more hits if the target has already left the falling rocks.
  • Meteorite Staff boosts the whole gravity sorcery by 30% while held. You can use a stronger casting staff in the other hand; two active Meteorite Staves provide a combined 69% bonus.
  • Graven talismans improve the sorcery as a whole. A Magic-only bonus improves its Magic portion, rather than multiplying the separate Physical damage as well.
  • The long commitment and continued FP cost make an opening important. Cerulean Hidden Tear can cover casting costs for its active window, but does not keep you safe from being interrupted.
  • This is the Royal Grave Evergaol reward. Meteorite Staff and Meteorite of Astel are separate items with different acquisition routes.
