Full Moon sorceries

Sorcery symbolic of the Carian queen.

Uses the caster as a vessel to incarnate a full moon, then sends it floating toward foes. The full moon dispels all sorcery that touches it, and temporarily reduces magic damage negation for those it strikes.

Queen Rennala encountered this enchanting moon when she was young, and later, it would bewitch the academy.

Liurnia of the Lakes

Starting Site of Grace: Debate Parlor

1. At Temple Quarter in western Liurnia, ride north to the rocky island where Glintstone Dragon Smarag is resting. Take the Academy Glintstone Key from the corpse behind the dragon; fighting Smarag is optional.
2. Examine the seal at South Raya Lucaria Gate with the key in your inventory. At Main Academy Gate, ride the lift up and climb the stairs past the two sorcerers into the church. Activate Church of the Cuckoo grace in its side passage.
3. Leave through the side passage into the graveyard. Follow the descending path across the wooden bridge, then climb the path on the right. Watch for enemies grabbing at you from the ground.
4. At the far end, go through the passage to the huge waterwheel. Ride an ascending platform and step off at the upper landing. Enter the building on the left for Schoolhouse Classroom grace; riding down goes to a different area.
5. Leave the classroom and follow the corridor through the sorcerers to the large room with a Living Jar. Use the corridor on its right, climb the stairs and continue upstairs to the boss fog.
6. Defeat Red Wolf of Radagon and activate Debate Parlor grace. Leave into the open courtyard, keeping the large curved staircase on your right in view.
7. Cross onto a stone support reaching from the courtyard edge to that staircase, then jump onto the steps. Climb between the rolling ball passes and continue to the courtyard with Moongrum.
8. The path on the left opens a shortcut back to the courtyard. Defeat or evade Moongrum and ride the large lift behind him to the Grand Library.
9. Defeat both phases of Rennala in the same encounter. In the library phase, strike the singing students surrounded by gold to bring her down from her protective bubble. Completing the second phase awards her remembrance and Great Rune of the Unborn.
10. Return to Enia beside the Two Fingers at Roundtable Hold. Choose the remembrance power exchange and trade Remembrance of the Full Moon Queen for Rennala's Full Moon. Consuming the remembrance for runes spends the copy you would otherwise exchange.

Notes

• Requires 70 Intelligence, two memory slots and a glintstone staff. It costs 47 FP and launches one large, tracking Magic projectile.
• Damage uses the casting staff's Sorcery Scaling. It reduces the struck enemy's Magic damage protection, but does not build Frostbite; that extra status effect belongs to Ranni's Dark Moon.
• The projectile can dispel eligible sorceries that touch it. This is a moving interception effect, not protection from every spell, physical hit or area attack while you cast.
• Its Magic-vulnerability effect lasts 60 seconds. The two moon spells share that effect, so casting both refreshes or replaces it rather than giving two independent moon debuffs.
• That debuff also competes with effects such as Greyoll's Roar, Shriek of Milos and Soul Stifler. Frostbite is separate and can remain alongside it.
• Carian Regal Scepter boosts moon-sorcery damage by 10% while held, even when another staff casts the spell. Two active copies multiply to a 21% bonus.
• It cannot be charged, so Godfrey Icon does not help. Graven talismans and Magic damage bonuses improve the hit; weapon-skill bonuses do not.
• The long startup and slow flight make it easier to use before an enemy closes in or while another target holds its attention. Being lifted into the air is not full invulnerability.
• Snow Witch Hat does not boost this moon. It is a moon sorcery but not a cold sorcery.
• Exchange Remembrance of the Full Moon Queen with Enia for the spell. Carian Regal Scepter is the other choice, so duplicate the Remembrance at a suitable mausoleum if you want both during the same journey.
