About this item
For 30 seconds, raises Arcane by 10 and increases damage dealt by 7%.
While it is active, blood loss occurring nearby can trigger a separate 18% damage bonus lasting 30 seconds. Applying buildup alone is not enough; a blood-loss burst must actually happen.
The initial effect is a body buff and competes with foods and spells in that slot. The triggered blood-loss bonus is separate.

Where to find
Bloodfiends in Rivermouth Cave
Gravesite Plain
Starting Site of Grace: Rivermouth Cave
Before you go
- Enter the Realm of Shadow.
- From Castle Front, follow the southeastern road to the fork and take the downhill path through the camp.
- At the next fork, go left toward the poison pools. Near the large Miranda flower, take the lower slope toward the crab and the entrance to Ellac River Cave.
- Enter the cave, activate its grace and come out beside Ellac River. Follow the river northwest along the bottom of the ravine to Rivermouth Cave.
- Explore the cave and defeat its Bloodfiends. Collect their drops and check the corpses for the fixed Sacred Bloody Flesh pickups.
- For additional drops, rest at the cave grace and repeat the Bloodfiends. The random drop is not guaranteed each run.
Notes
- For 30 seconds, raises Arcane by 10 and increases damage dealt by 7%.
- While it is active, blood loss occurring nearby can trigger a separate 18% damage bonus lasting 30 seconds. Applying buildup alone is not enough; a blood-loss burst must actually happen.
- The initial effect is a body buff and competes with foods and spells in that slot. The triggered blood-loss bonus is separate.
- An enemy immune to blood loss cannot provide the trigger through your bleed attacks. Plan around the target rather than assuming the larger bonus is always active.
- It is a finished consumable, with no crafting recipe. Rivermouth Cave has fixed pickups as well as Bloodfiends that can drop more.
- The current damage effects apply to Physical, Magic, Fire, Lightning and Holy damage. The description's mention of Physical attack does not fully describe the current effect.
- The base 7% and triggered 18% damage bonuses multiply to 26.26% while both are active. This calculation excludes any extra benefit your particular weapon or seal gains from the ten Arcane.
- The blood-loss trigger must occur nearby, within roughly seven meters. Your own Blood Loss can trigger it too, so Seppuku is an option when the target cannot bleed.
- Once triggered, the 18% bonus can finish its own 30 seconds after the original body buff ends or is replaced. New Blood Loss only refreshes it while the food's trigger effect is still active.
- The trigger can stack with White Mask and Lord of Blood's Exultation. A second serving of Sacred Bloody Flesh does not add another separate copy of its own damage multiplier.
- Very large targets can place their trigger point outside the effective range even when you are beside a limb. Do not assume a bleed burst automatically means the bonus activated.
- Bloodfiends have a 2% base drop chance at 100 Item Discovery. You can carry ten servings, and the food costs no FP to use.
