In-game description
Curved greatswords of black steel wielded by General Radahn.
A pair of weapons decorated with a lion mane motif.
Radahn earned considerable renown as the Starscourge in his youth, and it is said that it was during this time he engraved the gravity crest upon these blades.
Skill
Bring the two swords together and roar into the skies, pulling in enemies with a gravitational wave. Follow up with an additional input to slam down with gravity-infused swords.
Where to find
Caelid
Starting Site of Grace: Chamber Outside the Plaza
Before you go
- Activate the Radahn Festival and defeat Starscourge Radahn.
- Keep the Remembrance of the Starscourge.
- Start the Radahn Festival before trying to reach the battlefield. One route is to reach Altus Plateau and activate an outdoor grace there; progressing Ranni's investigation with Blaidd is another way to start it.
- Travel along Caelid's southern road toward Redmane Castle at the southeastern tip. Activate Impassable Greatbridge on the mainland side of the bridge.
- Use the sending gate beside the bridge while the festival is active. It takes you inside Redmane Castle, avoiding the normal defended bridge approach.
- Go through the gathering of fighters in the plaza and speak to Jerren on the raised platform. Tell him you are ready, then continue through the chapel behind him.
- Use the side exit and lift to reach the beach below. The sending gate on the shore leads into Starscourge Radahn's battlefield.
- Defeat Starscourge Radahn to receive Remembrance of the Starscourge. Return to Enia in the Two Fingers' room at Roundtable Hold.
- Exchange Remembrance of the Starscourge with Enia for Starscourge Greatsword. There is no extra rune fee for this choice. Duplicate the Remembrance at a suitable bell-bearing mausoleum if you also want Lion Greatbow.
Notes
- Requires 38 Strength, 12 Dexterity and 15 Intelligence, and weighs 20. Strength is its main ordinary damage attribute, Dexterity is secondary, and Intelligence improves a smaller Magic portion.
- Two-handing produces the second sword without requiring another copy. It still receives the Strength benefit of two-handing, so 26 Strength meets the requirement, but its paired attacks do not receive the usual two-handed stance-damage bonus.
- The paired attacks give broad damage coverage, with short reach for colossal swords. A second inventory copy is unnecessary simply to use Radahn's two-sword moveset.
- Starcaller Cry costs 20 FP for the initial pull. Use its follow-up input for the slam at another 20 FP, making the complete sequence 40 FP.
- The skill combines weapon attack power with an additional Magic component that improves with Intelligence and upgrades. Increasing Intelligence only for the extra gravity damage gives a different result from improving the Strength-led weapon attacks.
- The initial pull deals 15 stance damage and the follow-up deals 10.2 if it connects. The slam and its visible explosion share hit registration rather than dealing two independent follow-up hits to the same target.
- Roar Medallion and an active Highland Axe boost the initial roar, not the follow-up slam. Shard of Alexander improves the skill; Spellblade armor improves its Magic portion. It cannot be charged for Godfrey Icon.
- The animation has strong resistance to interruption, but incoming damage still matters. Pulling a whole group into range is useful only if you have the FP and opening to finish safely.
- Deals 30% extra damage against eligible gravity enemies. Uses Somber Smithing Stones to +10, has a fixed skill and affinity, and cannot use grease or weapon enchantments.
- This is Starscourge Radahn's Remembrance weapon. The two Greatswords of Radahn from the final Realm of Shadow boss are different weapons with different skills.
