In-game description
A coarse iron lump of an ultra greatsword.
Mows down foes by utilizing its incredible weight.
Though handling it likely requires the wielder to have surpassed the realm of the merely human, it is precisely for this reason the weapon is used to slaughter even inhuman foes.

Where to find
Caelid
Starting Site of Grace: Caelem Ruins
- From Smoldering Church on the Limgrave-Caelid border, follow the road east past Rotview Balcony toward Caelem Ruins.
- Look for the abandoned carriage along the road northwest of Caelem Ruins. Huge Caelid dogs surround the carriage, so circle around or draw them away before stopping.
- Climb onto the rear platform and open the chest for Greatsword. From Caelem Ruins grace, follow the road northwest back toward the border to reach the same carriage.
Notes
- A Colossal Sword requiring 31 Strength and 12 Dexterity, with 23 weight. Using both hands meets the Strength requirement at 21 Strength; Dexterity is still required.
- Standard affinity strongly favors Strength over Dexterity. Heavy further emphasizes Strength, while other affinities can add different damage and scaling.
- Its first heavy attack sweeps across and the next comes down overhead. These differ from Zweihander's first heavy thrust.
- Its ordinary moveset is heavy and far-reaching, but each committed swing and its substantial weight need space in both your stamina and equip load.
- On Standard affinity it blocks 84% Physical damage with 56 initial Guard Boost. This can help in an emergency, but it does not fully block Physical damage like a 100% shield.
- Stamp (Upward Cut) costs 5 FP to brace, then another 8 FP for the strong-attack follow-up. The brace resists interruption rather than granting invulnerability.
- Its critical rating is 100. The high normal attack power does not give it an additional critical modifier.
- The abandoned carriage is a fixed chest pickup. You do not have to defeat the giant Caelid dogs, although their attacks can interrupt you while opening it.
- Upgrade it with Smithing Stones to +25. Can use compatible Ashes of War; changing the affinity can change which attributes improve its damage.
- Grease or a weapon enchantment can be applied while using an affinity that allows weapon buffs.
- It has no innate blood loss, poison or Frostbite. An appropriate affinity or compatible buff is needed if you want one of those effects.
- On Heavy affinity, certain independent Strength-scaling skill projectiles have slightly weaker scaling than the ordinary Heavy upgrade family. Ground Slam and Flame of the Redmanes are examples. This exception does not weaken every skill or apply on every affinity.
