About this set

The regular helm, chest, gauntlets and greaves weigh 45 in total and provide 80 poise. That substantial armor weight leaves less room for weapons before reaching a heavy equipment load.

The chest can be altered to remove its cape. With the altered chest and the other three pieces, the outfit weighs 43.3 and provides 77 poise, with slightly lower protection and status resistance.

None of the pieces boosts storms, Lightning damage or Strength. Niall's attacks do not become passive effects on the clothes.

Where to find

Enia after Commander Niall

Roundtable Hold

Starting Site of Grace: Church of the Eclipse

Before you go

  • Have 18,000 runes for all regular pieces.
  • Defeat Commander Niall at Castle Sol to unlock this armor at Enia.
  1. Use the ordinary Rold Medallion at the Grand Lift of Rold to reach the Mountaintops. From Zamor Ruins, follow the eastern path around north through the mountain gap and across the narrow stone crossing, using its low cover against the Golem's arrows.
  2. Continue to Ancient Snow Valley Ruins and follow the valley north. Turn right along the frozen river, then climb the left-side path by the cliffs to Freezing Lake grace.
  3. From Freezing Lake, follow the cliff uphill around to the west rather than crossing the lake. Pass through the graveyard toward Snow Valley Ruins Overlook and continue west over the high ground.
  4. At the larger graveyard, take the descent north toward the walking mausoleum and Castle Sol. Activate Castle Sol Main Gate grace outside the entrance, away from the mausoleum's feet.
  5. Enter the courtyard and pass the two Lion Guardians to the stairs at the back. Climb both flights, cross the upper area with dogs and a hawk, then enter the doorway at the far end.
  6. Climb the stairs through the appearing soldiers. Pass the knight at the top and enter the building on the left for Church of the Eclipse grace.
  7. Go through the church and out its side door into the building opposite. Watch for enemies hanging from the ceiling that scream to call more soldiers.
  8. Continue upstairs and out toward the boss fog. Pull the lift lever on the left to open the shortcut before attempting the fight.
  9. Defeat Commander Niall and his two Banished Knight summons. Commander O'Neil in Caelid is a different boss and does not unlock these Castle Sol rewards.
  10. Return to Roundtable Hold and speak to Enia beside the Two Fingers. Open Receive equipment of champions to buy the armor pieces separately for runes.
  11. The helm, gauntlets and greaves cost 4,000 runes each; the chest costs 6,000. All four cost 18,000 runes.

Notes

  • The regular helm, chest, gauntlets and greaves weigh 45 in total and provide 80 poise. That substantial armor weight leaves less room for weapons before reaching a heavy equipment load.
  • The chest can be altered to remove its cape. With the altered chest and the other three pieces, the outfit weighs 43.3 and provides 77 poise, with slightly lower protection and status resistance.
  • None of the pieces boosts storms, Lightning damage or Strength. Niall's attacks do not become passive effects on the clothes.
  • The full purchase costs 18,000 runes. Commander Niall unlocks the shop, but his direct weapon reward and the secret medallion half behind his arena are separate items.
  • The poise can help you withstand some interruptions. It does not make you immune to stagger, and stronger attacks can still knock you out of an action.
  • You can mix the pieces with other armor without losing a full-outfit effect. None of them can be reinforced with Smithing Stones.
