About this spirit
Costs 85 FP and summons Florissax in her human form. She supports the fight with Dragonbolt of Florissax and lightning attacks from Flowerstone Gavel.
Her defensive dragonbolt can protect nearby allies. The spell's aura effect can replace another aura such as Golden Vow, so it is not automatically an additional buff on top of your own routine.
The gavel's lightning attack can lower an enemy's lightning damage negation. This is particularly useful for a lightning-focused build; it does not give the same increase to every damage type.
Technical details
Separate summoning cost and upgrade fields are not recorded for this spirit. The description and notes contain the reviewed information.
In-game description
Ashen remains in which spirits yet dwell. Use to summon the spirit of Ancient Dragon Florissax.
Florissax assumed this spirit form to offer her service to a new lord.
Uses her own dragonbolt to increase all damage negation (including physical) for herself and nearby allies. Strikes foes with the Flowerstone Gavel's dragonbolt to reduce enemy lightning damage negation.
Long ago, Florissax assumed human form to share Dragon Communion with the world. Now, she has acquired a human heart.
Where to find
Dragon Communion Priestess quest at the Grand Altar
Jagged Peak
Starting Site of Grace: Grand Altar of Dragon Communion
Before you go
- Thiollier's Concoction.
- Give it to the priestess at night before defeating Bayle.
- From Three-Path Cross in Gravesite Plain, go west through the natural arch to Main Gate Cross outside Belurat and meet Moore. Follow the northeastern road across Ellac Greatbridge to Castle Front, then take the southeastern road to Pillar Path Cross to meet Thiollier.
- Speak to Thiollier first, then return to Moore and finish the conversation that gives Black Syrup for Thiollier. Do these opening conversations before advancing their later companion quest states.
- Deliver Black Syrup to Thiollier at Pillar Path Cross. Choose the dialogue about being weary of life to receive Thiollier's Concoction. Keep it rather than drinking it.
- From Castle Front, follow the road southeast toward Pillar Path Waypoint. At the fork, use the lower road toward Igon rather than climbing to the Suppressing Pillar.
- Continue south-southwest past the broken dragon statues. An Ancient Dragon-Man invades along this approach. The cave entrance is on the left near the end of the path, marked by a fire.
- Activate Dragon's Pit grace and follow the lit passage down. Watch for skeletons below the first ledge and around the next corner. Strike their glowing remains after knocking them down to stop them getting back up.
- In the large cavern with the pillars, follow the left-hand ledge down and take the passage beside the distant crossbow skeleton. Continue onto the sloping stairs in the next chamber.
- Take the downward route toward the large altar and pit. The stairs going up lead to an optional Magma Wyrm; that fight is not needed to reach the exit.
- At the bottom, approach the message beside the deep chasm. Walk straight off this lowest ledge into the pit to land safely by the boss mist. Do not jump from the higher rooms or aim toward the side walls.
- Defeat the Ancient Dragon-Man behind the mist. Open the large doors at the back of the arena instead of using the return-to-entrance exit, then follow the tunnel to Dragon's Pit Terminus grace.
- Descend from Dragon's Pit Terminus into the drake's lake bed and take the southern exit. Follow it to the enormous dead dragon and activate Grand Altar of Dragon Communion.
- Speak to the Dragon Communion Priestess and agree to pursue Bayle. Rest until night and offer Thiollier's Concoction through her dialogue before defeating Bayle.
- Leave and pass time through the next nights, returning until she is awake. Finish her dialogue about having fallen asleep before going on to Bayle.
- From Dragon's Pit Terminus, descend to the first drake's lake bed. Use the northeastern archway and follow the path uphill as it bends southeast. The drake fight is optional.
- Continue along the narrow cliff path until you reach a spiritspring on the east side. This is the first spiritspring on the ascent, before the bridge to Foot of the Jagged Peak.
- Use the spiritspring to jump east, then cross the bridge south-southeast and activate Foot of the Jagged Peak grace.
- Follow the southern uphill path over the rocks to the two fighting drakes. You can skirt their arena to continue east without defeating them.
- Take the eastern canyon, climb using the next two spiritsprings and follow the valley uphill. Two boulders roll down the slope ahead; use the rocks on the right for cover before continuing.
- At the top of the boulder slope, turn east-northeast toward Ancient Dragon Senessax. You can ride past the dragon and take the northern uphill exit instead of fighting.
- Climb past the dead dragons to Jagged Peak Mountainside grace. Lightning strikes along the upper mountain, so move away from the marks that appear on the ground.
- From Jagged Peak Mountainside, climb southwest through the dead dragons to the spiritspring on the left and jump south. Follow the high cliff path southwest, then southeast, using jumps across the breaks rather than dropping to the lower painting viewpoint.
- Use the next spiritspring to jump east. Continue east uphill into the canyon, then turn back and take the right-hand uphill branch toward the third spiritspring. Jump east again and activate Jagged Peak Summit before entering Bayle's arena.
- Defeat Bayle the Dread, then return to the priestess at Grand Altar of Dragon Communion. Speak to her until she gives Dragonbolt of Florissax.
- Continue the conversation, admit that you caused her sleep and accept her offer to serve you as her new lord. Receive Ancient Dragon Florissax. Leaving without finishing these choices does not complete the spirit reward.
Notes
- Costs 85 FP and summons Florissax in her human form. She supports the fight with Dragonbolt of Florissax and lightning attacks from Flowerstone Gavel.
- Her defensive dragonbolt can protect nearby allies. The spell's aura effect can replace another aura such as Golden Vow, so it is not automatically an additional buff on top of your own routine.
- The gavel's lightning attack can lower an enemy's lightning damage negation. This is particularly useful for a lightning-focused build; it does not give the same increase to every damage type.
- The support and enemy debuff need her to perform the relevant actions. Summoning her does not guarantee that your next attack immediately has both effects available.
- Upgrade her with Ghost Glovewort, up to +10. Her ash does not give you the player's Flowerstone Gavel weapon.
- Give the priestess Thiollier's Concoction at night before defeating Bayle, finish her waking dialogue, then confess and agree to her service after Bayle. Her unsedated ending gives Priestess Heart and Flowerstone Gavel instead.
- Collect the concoction before advancing Moore and Thiollier out of the conversations needed for Black Syrup. The quest branch also gives the Dragonbolt of Florissax incantation through her final conversations.
- Dragonbolt of Florissax grants 10% damage reduction against enemies for 70 seconds, with an additional 20% reduction to damage getting through a guard. Stand near her when she applies it; the blessing does not cover the whole arena.
- The guard benefit reduces chip damage, not the stamina cost of blocking. Against a hit that is guarded, the two reductions combine to 28% less damage rather than adding to 30%.
- She fights as a human-sized priestess rather than appearing as a giant dragon. Her gavel strikes, Lightning attacks and defensive incantation are different parts of her support.
- This branch replaces Priestess Heart and the actual Flowerstone Gavel pickup for the Journey. Bayle's heart and its altar exchange are separate from the priestess's chosen reward.
