Champions would gather at the Roundtable Hold in days long past, when the Two Fingers were masters of oration, their flesh yet full of vigor.
Skill
Imbue the cipher blade with light, extending its length, then strike with a sudden sweeping attack. This attack cannot be blocked.

Starting Site of Grace: Fortified Manor, First Floor
Before you go
- Reach the original Royal Capital before defeating Maliketh.
- In the original Royal Capital, reach the fortified manor below the enormous dragon wing, west of the main avenue. Activate Fortified Manor, First Floor inside before looking for the upper entrance.
- Leave Fortified Manor through its large ground-floor doors and turn right outside. Find the low stable roofs against the building and climb onto them.
- Use those roofs to reach the opening into the manor's upper floor. Go inside and follow the hall into the room laid out like Roundtable Hold's central chamber.
- Open the double doors leading to the room that matches the Two Fingers chamber. Collect Coded Sword from the seat inside.
Notes
- Requires 20 Faith with no Strength or Dexterity requirement, and weighs 2.5. Its attacks deal pure Holy damage and scale only with Faith.
- Strength and Dexterity do not increase its attack power. Two-handing does not create Strength scaling or bypass the Faith requirement.
- The light blade does not rebound from a shield like many ordinary one-handed swords. That uninterrupted swing is different from every ordinary attack ignoring the shield's damage reduction.
- Unblockable Blade costs 18 FP and makes a broad Holy sweep that completely ignores an enemy's guard. It cannot be parried when performed with the required FP.
- The sweep uses 250% of the sword's Holy attack power before bonuses and defenses, and deals 30 stance damage. It is a close sweeping skill rather than a ranged beam.
- Shard of Alexander and Holy damage bonuses improve the skill. Godfrey Icon does not because it cannot be charged.
- Pure Holy damage avoids splitting an ordinary hit across Physical and Holy defenses, but enemies with strong Holy resistance can still reduce it heavily. Keep another damage option for those fights.
- Cipher Pata shares the skill name but uses a different lunging attack. Its FP cost and attack behavior should not be substituted for this sword's sweep.
- Uses Somber Smithing Stones to +10. Its skill and affinity are fixed, and grease or weapon enchantments cannot be applied.
- Collect it before defeating Maliketh. The upper Fortified Manor pickup becomes inaccessible when Leyndell changes into the Ashen Capital.
