Notes

• Requires 10 Strength and 10 Dexterity and weighs 3.5. Standard affinity has stronger Strength than Dexterity scaling; Keen or another affinity can change that balance.
• Its first heavy attack includes a thrust, giving it a forward-reaching Pierce option. This differs from the Broadsword's broad heavy sweep.
• The Pierce attacks can benefit from thrust counter-hit bonuses while an enemy is attacking. Those bonuses do not apply to every slash in its moveset.
• Square Off is its default skill. Hold the stance, then use normal attack for an upward slash costing 6 FP or strong attack for a lunging thrust costing 8 FP.
• Square Off's attacks can pressure guards and stance, but holding the stance does not block enemy attacks. A shield with No Skill lets you use it from your right hand.
• Its critical rating is 100. It does not have the higher critical modifier of Lordsworn's Straight Sword.
• Vagabond starts with one. The Twin Maiden Husks sell another for 1,000 runes without a bell bearing, so that class can obtain a second copy early.
• Upgrade it with Smithing Stones to +25. Can use compatible Ashes of War; changing the affinity can change which attributes improve its damage.
• Grease or a weapon enchantment can be applied while using an affinity that allows weapon buffs.
• It has no innate blood loss, poison or Frostbite. An appropriate affinity or compatible buff is needed if you want one of those effects.
