In-game description
Well-crafted straight sword with an illustrious
design, wielded by regulars of a lord's army.
Though blackened and damaged by years of use,
it appears to have otherwise been kept in a
serviceable condition, despite the soldiers having
long since lost their minds.

Starting Site of Grace: Gatefront
- From Church of Elleh, follow the road north through the woodland to the soldier camp at Gatefront Ruins. Activate Gatefront grace beside the huge gate on the northwestern edge of the ruins.
- Go southeast into the camp. Pull enemies away from the horn-carrying soldier before fighting the larger groups, or deal with the horn bearer before it calls the camp to you.
- Defeat the ordinary Godrick Soldiers carrying straight swords, rather than the heavily armored knight with a spear. Collect each drop and rest at Gatefront to repeat.
- The two carriage chests contain other fixed weapons. Lordsworn's Straight Sword comes from the soldier drops, so opening the chests does not finish this farm.
Notes
- With Standard affinity, physical damage has equal Strength and Dexterity scaling.
- Its critical rating is 110. This improves critical attacks such as backstabs and ripostes; it does not give every ordinary attack the same bonus.
- Upgrade it with Smithing Stones. Its maximum upgrade is +25.
- Can use compatible Ashes of War. Your choice of skill and the whetblades you've found determine which affinities you can apply.
- Grease or a weapon enchantment can be applied while using an affinity that allows weapon buffs.
- Requires 10 Strength and 10 Dexterity and weighs 3.5. Standard begins with 115 Physical attack, compared with Longsword's 110, although later scaling and affinity affect the final comparison.
- Starts with Square Off. Its light follow-up costs 6 FP and attacks a raised guard, while its heavy follow-up costs 8 FP and lunges forward with strong stance damage.
- The 110 critical rating is useful after a stance break or parry. It does not mean that every ordinary light attack deals 10% more damage than a sword with 100 critical.
- The base drop chance is 2% from eligible sword-carrying soldiers at 100 Item Discovery. Gatefront's carriage holds Lordsworn's Greatsword, a separate fixed weapon.
- There is no innate bleed or elemental damage on Standard. Heavy emphasizes Strength, Keen emphasizes Dexterity and elemental affinities change which attributes support the added damage.
